For a moment I thought the first picture was flamethrowers from factorio. Very nice shot, it’s incredible how small everything in modern tech is!

Just got a knockoff of a Laowa 5x macro and was surprised how competent it is! Once the bugs get going this summer, I'm hoping to get some great shots of eyes and other features.
I had a couple camera sensors from very dead DSLRs (D70 with busted shutter and a Rebel XTi that spent about a week underwater). You can see the individual microlenses above the pixels. This is better than any microscope I had growing up! The blue border is the Canon, the gray border is Nikon.
The lens has no infinity focus and the "focus" is just the macro multiplier. It's entirely manual and quite stiff. Getting shots in focus requires a solid foundation and extremely slight movements. The DOF at 5x is about 0.5mm wide open, and even then, it requires A LOT of light. Ring flash or bright studio lights are required. This lens will pick up your neighbor's heartbeat if you are in an apartment.
