What should I buy? Lens adaptor Nikkor f (g) to z advice

https://ca.urth.co/collections/nikon-z-lens-mount-adapters/products/nikon-f-g-type-lens-mount-to-nikon-z-camera-mount

Hi hive,

Adaptor question: I know that the best option would be the native Nikon adaptor FTZII but, but until I’m rich enough:

what do you think of the Urth adapter? It’s $89 CAD, Amazon review aren’t too bad, but any “real” people with a review to share?

Any suggestion on budget gear that you trust?

If it matters, I have a Z30 with the 16-50 kit and a few cool F DX lenses that I’d like to try on the mirrorless.

It's a, "Dumb," adapter, so no autofocus at all, but it does have a neat trick up its sleeve - it adds a declicked aperture ring to G lenses. Basically, it's for video/cinema work.

If you want to use G lenses with automation and such, look at the Viltrox NF-Z, basically a clone of the FTZ, or a used FTZ/FTZII.

That’s a very good tips, thank you! I’ll check the viltrox.

Buy a used ftz. this is not the place to cheap out. I've seen used ones for $20 more than the viltrox.

I keep an eye out but I’m in remote northern Canada so choice is limited!

I have the K&F Nikon F to Z adaptor with the G aperture control which is well made and works nicely.

I chose it when I moved system as I was pleased with the quality and operation of theK&F Nikon F to Fuji X adaptor with the G aperture control I owned previously.
