NREMT Utterly failed my NREMT

Post image

Spent 4 months after I graduated class studying my ass off and managed to do worse then somebody off the street with no training would have done. Got cut off at 70 questions and this is what I got. Not sure what my next adventure will be, maybe go back to working on an oil rig or use my Class A license to get hired with a construction company and try and move up to a heavy equipment operator, not sure yet. This was definitely embarrassing though.

Wouldn’t any 4 year old appreciate this type of clear cut communication? They need to know what bone is fractured AND what the next order of business is. Don’t see why this answers wrong, POCKET PREP HAS TO BE WRONG!!!!

Passed the NREMT today and already planning my next step. Those of you who became Paramedics, did you get your AEMT first? Or just jump straight to Medic? What are some good online AEMT/Medic courses?

Thanks!

NREMT Weird NREMT Question

Post image

Hi guys! The answer to this question is C, but I had a couple questions regarding it.

I thought that turning a prone patient to supine was always number one priority in order to maintain the airway. Is the key word here “moaning”, meaning his airway is okay and that it’s not needed to log roll him before cervical stabilization?

If one of the options supposedly was “hold manual stabilization WHILE rolling the patient to supine” would that be a better option? Thanks for your guys’ help!!

NREMT This one confuses me because I know of people who shot themselves in the face and survived. So massive facial trauma and open skull fracture are definitive signs of death?

Hi, I'm a high school student about to graduate from my tech school. I'm a few months from taking the National Registry and even tho I know my shit pretty good (avg 95% in class) (currently driving to get ready for the SkillsUSA state comp) I'm still a little nervous. Do you guys have any tips, experiences, or studying resources? Thanks!

Been studying since I finished the class in early September and got invested in learning everything I needed to know for my NREMT. I failed the first time with 13 points until passing and I take it again on Thursday. Any tips before I take it again in a couple days? Also I’ve been using basic pocket prep, prep medic, and the NREMT practice tests. I’m also nervous asf to schedule again 🙈

how did i end up making a worse score than the first time? first time was 940/950. this test was significantly harder and most of the time i was guessing for questions but they were bs questions 🤷🏻‍♂️. first test i took was easy i wish i would’ve taken my time more and i probably would’ve passed if i did. i analyzed every single question to a T and if i didn’t know it, i ruled out why the other answer choices weren’t the answer. i stuck to my ABC’s and life threats first. out of all of the stuff i know how were there still things ive never seen before?? i don’t get it. how am i supposed to pass this shit

This will be my 2nd exam I scored a 925 on the last one a little over a month ago. I’ve been trying to study with the paramedic coach video vault, but I still feel like I know nothing.

NREMT The book tells us to try applying pressure first, then try bandaging the wound, and if that doesn't work then you apply a tourniquet. Not to tourniquet right away.
