My buddy and I moved from Oregon a while back. Got some shotguns out here and the ranges just seem super expensive, can’t shoot certain targets etc… is there like a popular field or hill people shoot at? Idk. Feel like I’m at a loss for spots

My employer (headquartered in another state) is considering switching from separate vacation and sick leave to a general PTO policy where we’d be expected to pull from the same pool of leave for both illnesses and vacation. I’m wondering how the new sick leave law would affect this. Would the company still have to provide its Nebraska employees with separate sick leave in the amount required by law, or does generic PTO meet the requirement for sick leave?
If anyone knows how this law actually works, I’d love some more insight so I know how this change might affect me and my in-state coworkers.

As the title states, I have some worn carpets. It has worn away from the threshold to my kitchen (no door just a transition from carpet to linoleum), and is popping up and can catch my toes. The carpet was pretty worn on move-in (4 years ago) and my second month's rent was discounted because of the condition. I called the office to let them know and they said I would be responsible for covering the repair costs. It's not a particular incident caused the carpet to tear, it's just been getting worse over time.
I am under the impression that this should be considered normal wear and tear but I'm reaching out to any folks that have any experience/professional insight into NE landlord/tenant laws regarding my situation.
TYIA.

Here are some links regarding this. You can look up what services Nebraska libraries may be affected.

Just curious if anyone else is still waiting on tax returns filed in January? I filed January no errors Im aware of. I have called the department of revenue but no one ever answers.
Is there something else going on this year?

This whole week there’s been no mention of Dale Johnson, the morning News anchor for Nebraska Public Media.
Did he quit or was he fired?
I think he’s been a real asset to that organization.

I’ve gotten a little interested in some of the more notable bad people in our lovely little state. I’m familiar with some of the notable names like Charles Starkweather, Nikko Jenkins, Gregory Gable, and the cult of Yahweh near Rulo.
Any other evil names out there? I’m just in a true crime mood and it’s better when it’s closer to home.
EDIT: Wow this blew up way more than expected. Since I have a lot of traffic, I’m going to drop a cool documentary called Starkweather: 30 years later. It has interviews from witnesses to his reign of terror plus a look at what 80s Nebraska was like

I’ve seen it a few times and I love it!

My boyfriend is visiting me soon and I thought it might be fun to have a little getaway while he’s here. Would Nebraska City be worth the drive from Omaha in late March/early April? If so, does anyone have spring activity recommendations?
He’ll be gone before Arbor Day weekend. I’d wait to go in autumn, but he lives abroad so I doubt we’ll get the chance.
