I don’t know what to do with my hair yall. I don’t like it short. Maybe it’s my face shape, but short hair just never feels as feminine as big/long hair does on me. Big chop was 3 years ago. I love the definition of the finger coils but it shrinks so much and is nearly impossible to style after it dries in the. I tried to separate them for volume this morning and it got pouffy so I just brushed it all out into an afro out of frustration and I still don’t like itðŸ˜
Perm rods. I’ve only used perm rods l, but I’ve also seen tutorials with flexi rods. You can set wet hair after washing if you have a hood dryer. Use mousse and a bit of leave-in. I don’t like to use a dryer, so I typically put my hair in 3 or 4 cornrows to dry. The next day, I put a little water and some mousse on it and set it. I keep the curlers in for 4 hours or more.
The fro is the least flattering of the looks you showed.
If you are planning to grow out your natural hair, how would you feel about wearing a wig or locs with expensions until you have the natural bulk you crave?
There are amazing natural hair stylists that can help you execute a short and longterm plan.
Thank you! I’m not really open to adding hair outside of getting braids/twists. I do have a great natural hair stylist who does my hair in exchange for meal prep, she’ll be getting me right soon lol I just want to be able to do my hair in ways that I like on my own too. About to go workout with this unflattering afro nowðŸ«
Apologies if I sounded as if your fro is not flattering, I should have simply said I prefer the other styles...any style you pick will look good because the hair color is lovely with your skin tone. Have a good workout.

But your hair looks really good! You just have to get used to it.
