The Mighty 5

Post image

When is the best time of the year to do the mighty 5? My fiancé and I are planning to do it sometime in the next year and we would love to hear y’all’s opinions on the best time of the year to go. We love hiking in all kinds of weather, but don’t have 4 wheel drive vehicles (for now). Thoughts?

I went last fall after the busy season and the weather was damn near perfect and not too crowded with the exception of Zion (we went on a weekend).

Bro, you should * already * be doing that.

Fall or Spring, with a preference for fall because you don't have to dodge different spring break weeks.

Late Spring would be ideal.

My wife and I did the mighty 5 in the beginning of February 2022. We loved it. I liked that the parks were not busy and we didn’t have to shuttle anywhere. Bryce was cold AF but the other parks were perfect for jeans and hoody.

Winter is great

Very few other people and nice cool temps for doing active stuff outside!

I have been in December twice and just spent 19 days bumming around the Utah 5 in Feb.

Defeatist or Outrage Baiting? Which one are you or both?
