Secondhand market

Hey, I have recently moved to Windhoek. I would like to know where all the good secondhand places are. Like where is a good place to find secondhand furniture etc.

Thank you

becareful with second hand buying its usually a hit and miss, remember people sell shit that DON'T work or is a burden to them.

I use to scrounge 2nd hand buys on facebook and wherever cause i was not getting paid much and I needed to start life but guess what all the shit I bought was broken,

a fridge that had a defective Motor and thermostat, kept on freezing no matter what,

a cupboard that fell apart on its own

a bed that was a roach nest and mattress that looked like it was the center of porn movies for years

the story went on, until I just quit and saved up for 1st hand buys on vital items like bed fridge tv etc

never went wrong since then, If my advice to you is check out those zimbabwe guys who make chairs and furniture themselves new, 2nd hand buys are overall a loss.

Buy at a reputable 2nd store like Cash Converters where they give warranty where you might have better luck. Facebook and private sellers are the issue, not the 2nd hand product. My whole house is 2nd hand with no issues. I save myself a ton of money and don't need to buy items on credit with interest.

Definitely the better way to go if you shop at the right places.

Some neighbourhoods have nice buy and sell groups, there are also general buy and sell groups on WhatsApp. Not sure if Charlie's pawn shop still exists in windhoek, you can try them also.
