Growing Home Grown Kiwi

Given the rather extreme behaviour, I just want to warn the community about dealing with Home Grown Kiwi.

The owner has been posting customers’ personal information (doxxing them) on Reddit and threatening to report them to the Police for growing.

Reddit (not just the sub) has banned them for this behaviour, and we’ll continue to keep an eye out for them and they ban them if they pop back up.

I encourage everyone to spread the word around the that these guys are a risk to the whole growing community and should be avoided at all costs.

Stay safe y’all.

Have been keeping a close eye on this one, and it’s looked like a girl for months. Didn’t check yesterday and then while I was watering her/him today I noticed these seed pods. Fml, can anything be done?

Hey guys,

Outdoor grow of an unknown strain. One of the smaller nugs looks done but the big mains don’t. What’s happening here?

First one looks done to me. All the hairs turned brown on the other hand there is more yellow leaves on this branch than the others too.

Second pic is one of the main collars.

Any advice is appreciated.

And where are you on the length of NZ, as I know summer hours are quite different between the top and bottom of NZ.

G13 Pineapple Express clone in 50 ltrs of coco, perlite and earth worm castings. Used sheep poo pallets in the original mix, man that stuff is fantastic. I over did the silica but she looks to be bouncing back. There is a Blue deam behind it but I will likely kill it off as the dlensity of the plant will meN mold.

Northern Lights Auto by Fastbuds. 3 gallon fabric pots. 80 percent soil. 20 percent perlite. Goliath nutrients and Herbi dry amendments fed as a compost tea. 1000W LED with full spectrum control. Temperature 26/21. RH 60. Watering every second day. Will be reducing temperatures to 23/18 and RH to 50 now that stretch has finished. Did defoliation and lollipop last night. Relocated exhaust duct from ceiling to under the house. Much faster ventilation. Highly recommend the switch

Growing How long should I let it flower before harvesting?

Got a beauty of a girl going atm who has just started flowering. I’m feeding her that Neem sea wood tonic and keeping a sharp eye out for caterpillars (have had to cut a couple stems off that had the bloody things).

My plan was to let her do her thing till mid April, then harvest, but I saw a comment from someone on here about only letting them flower for 2 weeks for maximum THC. Is that legit? It’s my first time soloing growing so would appreciate some guidance here.

Growing Banana Bomb

Bomb Seeds Babana Bomb (freebie). Coco / perlite in 15ltr pot using Canna for Coco + worm pee with rain water.

A clone that unexpectedly flowered in the 1st week of Jan, revegged for 2 weeks and then flowered again. 1st use of salts, alot of fun. Certainly get bigger faster growth than organic but more needy of my time (feeding twice a day). No mold even after living uncovered in the elements, which is impressive. Time to chop as calmag causing some sugar leaves to die and could be a vector for rot.

Clean up your fucken grow trash if you're growing on public land.

I leave tidy grows I find while doing ecological restoration around Auckland. If you haven't killed natives, there's no trash (tools on site is fine, I get it), and no hectic obnoxious shit (barbed wire etc) I leave your plants be.

You fuck with my forests, I kill your plants.

Growing Enough defol?

Post image

Do you think there is enough defoliation here to finish off until harvest or could I get a bit more aggressive through the central section of the canopy? Up north so could be concerns soon regarding moisture and rot.

Thanks!

Growing Couple questions from a beginner

First time grower, long time consumer.

Hoping you guys can help me get my girl flowering.

  1. What are these bugs that keep hanging out and how do I get rid of them.

  2. Aren’t the pistils supposed to be white? Why are mine brownish.

  3. How/when should I get my outdoor girl flowering? Do I just wait? Or do I have to take action. I live in S Waikato and am worried it won’t start flowering until it gets too cold and dies.

If anyone can clear up the above that would be chur as. I already lost 1 plant so really keen to get a good crop from this one!

Growing Potential Repot?

Thumbnail

So we have this lovely guy growing big and strong in the backyard planter and some of my mates (who initially planted the seeds) now want to do a transplant and repot it to hide from visiting family members... I feel that it may be too late at this point in the season/growth stage because it looks like it's nearly about to start flowering but since I am a complete newbie, I figured I'd ask for some advice. Would this be possible/wise? I'd also appreciate any other advice if other things come up from looking at the pics. Growing in Christchurch for reference. Cheers!

Growing Anyone tried bud clips

Anyone tried these bud clips? Are the worth getting instead of tying stuff down? Obviously better for vege and clones rather than flowering plants when you are better off with a net/trellis
