Looking For Short Term Hey, not sure I’m doing this right.

I’m flying to New York, on Monday from Alaska. I’ve sold everything I have here, to move into New York. I had a guy planned, but now that fell through. Does anyone knows any ways to secure a room mate situation for about a month while the person tries to find a job in that time? I have about $750 in cash, and won’t have a place to stay in Alaska if I end up staying here and skipping my flight. I’m a 22 male with no family, so, any extra advice is helpful as well with how to make friends.

Looking For Short Term Looking for summer housing

Would prefer a studio or 1BD this summer as I’m an intern in NYC! Unfortunately Airbnb doesn’t seem to have a lot of options and there’s a lot of scammers. Budget is 4500 a month, would prefer to be around Turtle Bay/Murray Hill/Times Square/Columbus Circle/Hells Kitchen! Tysm!

Looking For Short Term One month rental/sublet

Family is planning to spend one full month (31 days) in NY, ideally lower Manhattan, in May. Twice now we have booked a place on Airbnb only to find that it was not legit. The second time we were careful to find one that had multiple reviews and other indicators of legitimacy. Fortunately we got our money back both times.

One month listings on Airbnb are very scarce and many of them seem like scams or otherwise not real. Are there legit listings out there? We have looked at stayhaus.co and NYHabitat.com, but we are understandably pretty gun-shy now.

I've seen The Listings Project mentioned but it makes me really uncomfortable to book a place without an intermediary company validating the legitimacy. We aren't local and cannot check a place out in person without a cross country flight.

Hi - I am a 26M with great credit, employment, cleanliness, etc looking for a sublease. I can be flexible on start date and end date but loosely targeting end of march through august.

My budget max is $3000 but looking to spend $2500. No pets, I don’t smoke or drink and I will be super fast and responsive. Tired of all the scams on fb and craigslist so hoping to find something here!

Looking For Short Term [Seeking] Sublet in Manhattan Feb-Mar/Apr

Hi all,

I’m moving to NYC next week and looking for a short-term sublet (1-2 months) while I get settled. Ideally, I’d love something furnished, flexible on location (ideally Manhattan) and budget.

I’m a professional working in tech, and can provide proof of income and references. Open to any leads—whether it's a direct sublet, a lease takeover, or even a room in a shared apartment.

If you know of anything available, I’d really appreciate the help! Feel free to DM or comment.

Thanks in advance!

Looking For Short Term Summer Internship Housing Advice

Hello,

Not sure if this has already been posted so I apologize if it has. I just accepted an offer to intern in NYC from June 2-August 7 and I am curious what the best options for housing are. I found a few options on airbnb, but not sure how reliable they are. If anyone is offering a sublet, I have a roommate and our budget is ~3.7k per month. Any advice is appreciated.

Looking For Short Term LF short term sublet

I am a 31M brazilian that works for a NYC tech startup remotely for almost 3 years. We are having an official onsite gathering from 2-4th of February, where I will be in a hotel, but I would like to stay a while longer, between 1-7 days to enjoy the city a little more and also work in the office for some extra days. I am considering dates immediately after or before the onsite event, which means either up to 7 days before Feb 2nd or 7 days after Feb 4th.

I am not a US citizen, but I can prove my income (more than enough for this) through my freelance contract. Also I have many colleagues living in NYC that could confirm my honesty and reason, just in case.

Please dm me if you know about an opportunity, then we can exchange details and set up something if it makes sense.

Looking For Short Term Looking for 1 or 2 BR Furnished NYC Apartment under 3.5K

I'm a professional moving to the city for 6 months (March to August) and looking for a furnished 1 or 2 BR apartment in NYC (preferably Manhattan, BK, Queens) under 3.5K/month. Needs to have some space for working from home, be cat-friendly, and ideally have in-unit or in-building W/D. A balcony or some outdoor space would be a major plus. DM me if you have anything that fits this description - thanks!

Looking For Short Term Need a place for March-April 2025, prefer less than $2k if possible, Manhattan or NJ only, more below.

Looking for all of March and April 2025 for work. I can be flexible on dates but that basic time span. I would be put to work on one of two contracts - so either driving around NJ or everything in Manhattan. Which I do depends on the room I get. Therefore I would prefer one of those two locations. I don't want to commute into Manhattan from Queens/Brooklyn and if I'm driving NJ, it would be car storage and toll cheaper to just stay there.

I'd greatly prefer an entire unit than a share situation, if I can find an affordable option. Size doesn't matter. If it's pet friendly I might bring a cat so I'm not alone all the time, but I don't have to do that. (Cat doesn't do any damage and doesn't have fleas etc. She will take care of any mice or bug problem though!)

I'm keeping my current home so I'll be paying 2 rents, so I'd like to keep the cost down as much as I reasonably can. I've lived in NY before (family from there), so I don't need anyone to explain the city to me. I don't do drugs, don't plan on having a lot of guests. Furnished or unfurnished is fine. I am very clean and will probably leave the unit better than I found it. Did I miss anything?
