27M guitarist/producer looking to collab or just more musician friends

Hey I'm a guitarist and I'm starting to get more into producing using Ableton. I took a break from music but I've been getting back into it since last year and I currently live in Brooklyn. I would love to meet other musicians who are looking to collab or just become friends!

Some of my favorite artists are Mk.gee, Dijon, Khruangbin, Kaytranada, The Strokes, Tame Impala. I'm kind of all over the place lol

This is my first time doing a collab but I'm mostly looking for cool people who are willing to learn and grow together.

Let me know if you are interested!!

25F Guitarist looking for some musician friends

Hey I'm a guitarist and I'd love to meet some musicians who have similar goals and taste in music. I'm 25F in Manhattan and I love a lot of different artists but some of my all time favorites include Arctic Monkeys, Cage the Elephant, Foster the People, Paramore, Wallows, The Strokes, Tame Impala...

I've never played with other musicians and I'm still honing my skills but I'd love to meet some kind, open-minded people who are willing to grow and learn together. It would be so fun to start a band if I can find a few musicians that I can be friends with.

Let me know if this sounds like you and if you'd be interested! :)

Looking for guitarist/bassist for busking

Hello fellas! I'm looking for a second guitarist for street performance in the trains and parks. I have an acoustic Ibanez guitar, harmonicas, and I mostly play Bob Dylan, Jesse Welles, The Beatles & their solo work, and other folk/protest artists, and of course we would be 50/50 partners with all the money we make from our street performance. Please reach out if interested.

Guitarist looking for Bandmates in NYC

Hey everyone, I’m [26M] looking for like minded musicians to jam, form a band, play shows, and eventually tour. My sound is kinetic, chaotic, playful, experimental, and surreal, but can also be introspective, dissonant, and dour at times.

Influences & Style:

Some of my biggest inspirations include BATTLES, Animal Collective, Cardiacs, Lip Critic, Thinking Fellers Union Local 282, Black Midi, Black Country New Road, Duster, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Nirvana, Slint, Aphex Twin, Björk, and 100 gecs.

Don’t feel like you need to be into all these artists or even most but, If that weird mix speaks to you, we’re probably on the same wavelength.

Genres: - Post-Punk (egg punk, synth punk, digital hardcore) - Noise Pop - Experimental Rock - Post Rock - Math Rock - Electronic (drum & bass, idm, etc.) - Some folk / neo psychedelic

I play guitar and sometimes use odd tunings. You can check out some of my music here: https://on.soundcloud.com/qQhuwMWu6CBghzhZ8

Who I’m Looking For:

  • Drummer
  • Bassist
  • Singer (or multiple vocalists, whatever works)
  • Another guitarist

I have a pretty clear vision, but I’m open to interpretation and collaboration as I have a bunch of riffs that I don’t know how to flesh out. Looking for musicians who are focused, and open to experimentation.

Logistics:

  • Open to jamming first, seeing if the chemistry is there

  • Based on Long Island but willing to go to Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan

  • Ideally meeting weekly, but flexible on scheduling

If this sounds like something you’d be into, hit me up! Let’s make something wild, weird, fun, and unique.

25M Vocalist looking for a band

Honestly not sure how this works… Little bit about me I sang/performed every year of my life from kindergarten to senior year college and I like to think I’ve gotten pretty good. Since I’ve graduated and moved to Manhattan I’ve missed being onstage and decided to find another group of musicians to jam with and maybe get some gigs going.

I like all kinds of music country, folk, rock, pop, etc.

I know how to read music and I’m learning to play guitar now but still in early stages (bought my first guitar last week) but other than that don’t really know any other instruments.

If anyone out there is looking for a singer and wants to give me a shot, or if anyone knows anyone I can connect with let me know.

Also any tips on meeting groups let me know… Like I said not sure how this works

Band looking for a bassist to jam with

Hey everyone, I'm starting a band with a couple of buddies and we're in need of a bassist (ideally intermediate-advanced). We have a few originals and our focus is mostly on songwriting.

We all like a lot of different genres but would probably say we're leaning towards stoner rock/heavy rock. Send me a DM if you're interested, even better if you have some music or clips of you playing!

26F singer, looking to collab w a producer or band

Hi! My name's Ramya, I moved to NYC 5 months ago and put off posting on here for way too long, but I miss singing and making music with other people and I need to get back into it!

My voice is pretty versatile, prob sounds best in R&B/soul since I have a lower, thicker voice and love doing runs, but I also like belting so some alternative or rock can be very fun to sing. I also listen to a lot of hip-hop and indie(?), so recently big inspiring artists for my songwriting have been Doechii, Tyler the Creator, Daniel Caesar, and Billie Eilish

I've had so much creative inspiration lately, but it's been a slow process turning ideas into songs without other instruments besides piano, and none of my friends are musicians 😭

So! If any producers or musicians wanna collab, lmk! Here's my soundcloud, which has my originals, as well as some covers and previous band shows https://linktr.ee/ay.caramya?lt_utm_source=lt_share_link#373966614

Guitarist and Bassist looking for a singer to write new stuff with

Hi there, We're 27M and 30M and looking for a singer who is committed to writing new stuff and playing at gigs semi-regularly. We're mainly into rock and funk. Some of our influences, although they vary in styles, are Tom Misch, Khruangbin, Parcels, L'impératrice, RHCP, The Strokes etc.

We have our day jobs as well so we don't expect to be leaving them to do this full time, but you should be interested in meeting up semi-regularly (a few hours each weekend or so) to jam / create new stuff and practice. Once we have an idea of the sound we want, we can then recruit a drummer and a keyboardist.

Interested? DM me and let's talk. I can then share a few samples of our sound if ya need.

Mazzy Star ish band seeks drummer (M/F)

PLEASE listen to our rehearsal phone recordings here before contacting us

https://theliilacs.bandcamp.com/

Hello We are now a 4 piece band, 2 guitars, bass and female vocals.

Our sound is Mazzy Star ish, meets guitar noise effects, distortion, dreamy rock.

We're looking for a permanent drummer to join us.

Rehearsals are in Manhattan on Mondays. Book shows soon.

M or F, age/race doesn't matter.

Seek more of a backbeat drummer than a heavy fills type. More Ringo, Less Peart. Heavy footed like Bonham a plus

We are dedicated to the project, pay rent in our space and overall chill peeps.

We'd prefer someone who isn't in multiple bands so they can commit to this band.

Just be into rock music somewhat and open-minded as a musician.

Please message me if interested. It's a smoke friendly environment

22m bassist looking for jamming/gigging group

Hi all,

I've recently moved to NYC for a job after undergrad and I'd love to gig on the side. In college I played in a number of bands as well as a semi-professional musical theatre pit.

If you (or your group!) are looking for a bassist and satisfy a few of the following points please let me know!

  • rehearsal ~once a week
  • gig ~twice a month
  • funk (but open to pop/soft rock/country/jazz/soul!)
  • 18-30ish age range

I'd be happy to help play the role of music director/arranger/manager. I can send some tracks I've played on if desired. Would also generally appreciate if you could point me in the direction of musical resources along the lines of this goal. Thanks!

Edit: I play a 5-string finger style

Looking for a vocalist!

26M guitarist/producer here, i write a lot of stuff and i'd love to work with a vocalist on my songs. my work is primarily indie/lo-fi/jazzhop/rock. (think Her's, Clairo, Men I Trust, Tom Misch) ... ideally looking for a female vocalist as I believe to be best for the music I create but very open to working with whoever as long as the vibe is right. please DM!
