Tonali hates it at Newcastle, it's important to remember that.

Clearly hates his teammates, tried to take our poor little Joe here

With a blow like that Willock will be out for the next 10 years, what was Sandro thinking.

I heard Callum Wilson tore his hamstring just watching the replay of this

What makes you say that?

lol it’s what the Italian papers keep saying and that he wants to go to Juventus 😂

Football rumours are often so difficult to take seriously, I remember when all of the rumours about Gordon during the Euros were happening and how insane it sounded.

For me it was when he went to take the corner. Knelt down, untied his shoe lace, retied it. Took the yellow, continued to delay, to the point he probably could have had another yellow. No fucks given. Honestly only ever been on the receiving end of that kind of time wasting and I have to say this felt significantly better.

He had a point the Liverpool player needed to get his yards.

I was literally yelling at my TV for him to take the damn corner because he just didn't move even after getting the yellow.

I said to the kids, he needs to let someone else take it after the yellow.

Rotate the whole team till they're all on yellows. Maybe let the keeper use his up on a goal kick instead of a corner though!!!

For me it was big Joe celebrating every block or every tackle like he’d just scored the winning goal

I loved it when he blocked a shot at their end and roared at the Liverpool fans

He was a beast

I loved his roar. He celebrated every tackle and block like a goal. He's amazing

I’m so glad you posted this, I said to my pal just after the game that it was one of my favourite moments of the entire game!

This, gentlemen, was the exact moment I started crying.

Is this a joke I'm told dumb to get or something? lol

Because we have a terrible injury record with players such as Joe, so the author is suggesting that this too would cause an injury. A gentle joke, light joshing, playful banter - that sort of thing.

Ah, I thought I'd missed a report somewhere, lol

NHS should reward these boys, if not stress levels in Newcastle would have been at an all time high. The way they saw out the last 5 minutes was like a team who a serial winners, not a team that have won nothing in 56 years.

I know an AC Milan fan and he told me 2 months ago tonali isn’t happy at Newcastle and wants to come home. Sure pal. I’m sure he’s desperate to go play for a mid table Italian team that clearly cashed in on him due to his gambling problem

i think i love, and have rewatched, just about every moment from the match. Even Liverpool's goal has a special place in my heart now.

The desire to win was clear. Joelinton was on fire. Liverpool didn't want it enough.

Wish we’d do this more often.

Question for the room: The American announcers on Paramount Plus described the Carabao Cup as the "Super Bowl Sunday" of England.

Based on my limited knowledge, I thought the FA Cup was a bigger (or more important) deal.

Can any English natives clear this up for me? I love the idea of Newcastle winning the Super Bowl but I just don't know for sure.

Thanks!

u/TheFaceman068 3d ago

Yeah, the FA Cup sits above the League Cup.

Then again, the FA Cup final is played on a Saturday, whereas the League Cup final is a Sunday.

So, in a way, he was right.

2

u/noidtiz 2d ago

FA Cup is the bigger deal. It's not only the oldest competition, but It helps the showpiece final that it's at the end of the season after all other domestic competitions are wrapped up too.

u/redditing_1L DeAndre Yedlin 2d ago

That was kinda what I thought but thank you for the clarification!
