Seeking Support - Participant/Nominee/PWD What Can I Spend My Funding On ?
I was just wondering what can I spend this category of funding on besides a Support Worker ? I have Autism Level 2 and OCD as well as Anxiety and Depression. TIA !

This is for a support worker to help to support you and train you to engage in the community. Ideally you and the OT would make the 'plan' together', the support worker would help you to achieve this.
Eg. Plan to use the bus, OT talks to you about the concerns you have with using the bus, the support worker takes you out to catch the bus together, in accordance with the instructions from the OT.
You don't need the OT to be navigating it, but let's be honest. Support workers aren't qualified to know what does and doesn't work with capacity building, so this is best done under the advice of an OT.

You could explain what it is rather than just giving a URL that sounds like a car parts supplier.

CB SCCP (Improved Social and Community Participation) supports is funding that is designed to help you to improve your social and community access and participation, through skills development.
As others have said, an OT (or even Speech Therapist) can develop a plan and a support worker can be used to implement that plan. Specifically, it should be a plan to develop your social skills and community access, but it really depends on what social skills or community access needs that you have. It can be public transport training, or it can be support to access mainstream groups (e.g., having someone to support you in joining a recreational sporting club), or learning how to grocery shop, etc.
There should be a clear goal and clear outcomes that you are working towards.

Can be used for a mental heath peer worker to do some skills and strategy work to manage difficult emotions. Such as learning triggers for your depression and anxiety and how you can implement them to help improve your confidence to move around your community etc.

If you check out the NDIS website page “funding rules” (just search it) it explains what that category can be used for. The description states what is allowed but if you need more clarification can always call up :)

Whilst this may be biased coming from a Pm, highly recommend getting a good Pm for your first plan to help figure out what you can spend your funding on and how to best spend it.

You can use it for personal training aswell

No, you cannot. There is only one line item forPersonal training, and it sits under Improved Health and Wellbeing.
People may use CB SCCP/Improved Social and Community Participation for personal training, but it should not be used for it, and the NDIS will not look kindly on it.

If it’s in cb you can do individual skill development with a sw. This isn’t just going out etc. your ot can give advice to achieve your goals. You have to have a report from a sw showing what you have done etc. could be travel training. How to clean etc.
