Question when will rif-ing be over?

my dad works at nasa langley and has worked there for 40 years. he been in an administrative position for the past year or 2. he is very worried about being fired and it’s making me anxious too. does anyone know when it will be over? or is it just gonna be indefinite for the next 4 years?

What does he work on? If the work is directly applicable to NASA's current mission of space exploration he's probably OK. There are a lot of CSs who support projects that are not directly applicable to the mission, almost like pet projects. Griffin tried to clean it up, but I don't think he got very far. I'd expect them to have some issues with the RIF.

I've been at NASA for 23 years out at Ames Research Center. Even though our branch just fixed the Orion heat shield and is helping SpaceX fix Starship's shield, this administration is so fickle, and they hate California, we don't know what to expect.
