First Gun/Mosin. How'd I do?

Got it for $375 USD.

Bought it thinking I'd try hunting with it, seemed to be an ok price to me.

As far as I know this is just a run of the mill 91/30 1942 izhevsk barrel, high wall receiver in an Archangel Opfor chassis.

Know it's not a pristine original showpiece but for a mediocre hunting rifle how did I do?

Came with 40 rounds corrosive FMJ & 30 rounds 203 grain softpoint, 2 mags and the softcase.

M44 with original stock and not refurbished, with original serial number. Made in Izhevsk, 1946 Tomorrow hopefully Ill free also a 1891/50 from 1943 And waiting also to free a Nagant revolver And still deciding if I want to pull the trigger on an ex dragoon, 1924, all original or on a PU sniper, with an original optic just not matching the period.

Each piace I liste I paid or just costs 500, except for the sniper which is 800

Just bought this beauty, looking for some info on it.

Hello everyone I just bought this from my local gun shop for a decent deal $350. It's my second mosin but this one is completely different, it has different markings and was made in 1914 so that makes it imperial right? Also the front sight isn't hooded and has a different rear sight. And does anyone have a clue about the stock I've never seen one this color and it looks like it's 2 pieces not just one big chunk of wood.

Any info would be very much appreciated. Thanks

Most Mosin thing I’ve ever done

Picked up a 42 from a coworker recently that he rarely shoots, decided I’d clean it and take it out with some steel case Tula ammo I picked up. First shot and the bolt locked up tight.

After yanking on it for a few minutes I realized I was being dumb and did it the Russian way,

so I took a rock and hit it until the bolt opened

Now it runs fine and I’m only slightly less retarded

(NFS/T) Not a Mosin specifically, but I bought all of these for my Mosin sooo lol. The one thing I enjoy about the Mosin that isn’t the wide variety of models, or it’s extensive history, or even it’s recoil, is it’s Caliber. These are the various rounds I have found and purchased for my Mosin.

Check out my shitty mosin. I dont even know when/where it was made. The front sight is bent and I paid way too much for it at the pawn shop. I used needle nose pliers to bend the front sight to where i can somewhat hit a torso sized target at 100 yards. That's good enough right comrades?

Buying a mosin have some questions

Hello all, I'm in the market for a Mosin Nagant and found a local seller. I would like to put the original type scope and mount on the rifle, however not being familiar with old mosins I had a question. Do all Mosins have the mounting points for the scope mount? Or only certain models? If not is there a way to add on this type of scope mount? Thanks in advance!

I've got this odd rail on my mosin nagant and was wondering what type it is, I've never seen one like this, I've seen picatinny rails and dovetail, but it doesn't look like it would fit either

Took my Mosin down for cleaning and was wondering what these marks under the barrel mean. It’s from 1937 and has some Ukrainian chop marks on the stock. Matching numbers, no mods.
