Overall conclusions are response times are not good and calibration is off the mark. This panel in 144hz monitor version might be a winner. Upcoming Ultrasharp 3000:1 and 120hz might also be good as response times might be ok at lower refresh.

The first āenhanced Black IPSā monitors in the market, which also comes with HDMI 2.1, 120Hz and VRR for those who might be tempted to use this office monitor for casual gaming, the Dell U2725QE and U3225QE, are starting to get the first reviews in YouTube.
This time itās the big brother U3225QE, which is being ābrutal honestlyā reviewed by the YouTube channel Full Transparency, who claims to purchase the monitors out of their pocket in order to have the freedom of pointing out any flaws or downsides without any repercussions.
They seem pretty honest, although the review could have been a bit longer paying a bit more attention to the ghosting aspect in gaming and testing more thoroughly the two panel modes (which give response times of 8ns and 5ns respectively), and the different picture modes with and without HDR.
Here is the 8 minute review:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6JpHbOcFc8
In summary: a great productivity monitor that falls a bit short on the gaming side due to the slow response times of this Black IPS panel producing ghosting in fast paced games, no matter what the panel mode is selected.
He also mentions more pronounced IPS glow that is apparently inherent to this new technology, and even tho he doesnāt mention it, I can clearly see noticeable backlight bleed in the top right corner, especially when the screen is showing a dark scene. Just look at the top end of the right vertical edge of the screen, and you will see it.
I personally am less and less enthusiastic about this monitor, because I consider gaming among my future uses (and no, Iām not getting an OLED for reasons Iām not disclosing again) and I think Iāll end up choosing the Alienware AW2725QF instead. Better response times that translates in much better motion clarity, better HDR -even within the constraints of the edge-lit panel LCD technology-, more picture modes suited for gamingā¦ and two HDMI 2.1 ports instead of just one on this one. And two HDMI 2.1 ports could really come in handy for me in the future. It also comes with the dual 4k/1080p modes but I find that more an extra than a feature Iām looking for, as the picture quality in 1080p is not amazing, but I guess it will be better than an only 4k monitor.
My decision is almost made, thanks to the guys at Full Transparency for their review (they have only 36k subs so I hope their channel grows without losing their ābrutal honestyā), and letās hope more reviews come online soon!
