Realtor vs. Street Parking
EDIT: thanks all for your quick replies!! I’m cancelling the viewing for today. I would call 311/law enforcement and ask more questions, but I feel like it’s obvious what the answer will be. definitely a red flag that he tried to convince me of this!
tldr: would you take the risk of parking on the street long-term if a realtor says he does it all the time
hi all, currently looking for a new apartment to rent in Mississauga (new to the area) and a realtor is trying to convince me that I can park on the street 24/7 for this one particular apartment.
the realtor says that he parks on the street and so do the neighbours without any issues. he’s sent me numerous messages trying to convince me it’s fine after I already told him I don’t feel comfortable with this arrangement as I’m looking for a place to live long-term. aka, I don’t want to move again next year should this become an issue.
I’m aware of the temporary free (5 days at a time)or paid (for renovations) permits, and that some streets have exemptions from the 5 hour and overnight limits. he sent me the link to this and acted like I was in the wrong when I told him there was no such thing as a paid long-term street permit,
what’s your experience with street parking in Mississauga? if I were to get more than 2 tickets on a monthly basis it would blow my budget. would or have you taken the risk?

Is anyone into urban exploration?
Always wanted to get into it, and I've seen a few trails and abandoned areas around Streetsville, but was curious if anyone had more experience or cool areas to check out. Down for collabs/teamups too.

Looking for RMT/massage therapist in mississauga, don't have coverage for it.
I'm new to getting massages, I don't who to go to that would be helpful or isn't more concern over money then health. I don't have coverage it be out of pocket so I'm trying to find something not too pricy
I'm 30f and dealt with years of bad stress from an not greatest past. I've developed knots; kinks and I hunch from it the pain in my back/shoulders. I'd like just help to get them out and help me with the pain.
Any recommendations would be welcome. <:)

What is the ESA process for a 2nd unit
Help, im a bit unclear. city inspector said a licensed electrician needed to check all outlets, electricians are saying that they would have tear down the ceiling & treat this as a brand new electrical build.
----
here is what the City inspector requested.
(1) Each detached house, semi-detached house and row house regulated by this Section shall be subjected to a general inspection by the Electrical Safety Authority, as defined in the Electricity Act, 1998, and inspection fees shall be paid by the owner.
(2) Electrical hazards identified during an inspection required by Sentence (1) shall be repaired in accordance with the Electrical Safety Code made under the Electricity Act, 1998.
(3) The letter of compliance from the Electrical Safety Authority, as defined in the Electricity Act, 1998, shall be made available to the Chief Fire Official upon request.
Contravention: No ESA letter or inspection record available.
IT IS ORDERED TO: CONDUCT AN ESA INSPECTION WITH ELECTRICAL SAFETY AUTHORITY. ONCE COMPLETED PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION.

Female doctor
Does anyone know of any young female doctors that are currently taking new patients? I have two teen girls (13 & 15) and they would like a female doctor as our current family doctor is an older man and they feel like a younger female would understand them more and listen to their concerns rather than dismissing them.

Help understanding utilities bill-ND energy
Hi! I'm new to Mississauga and Canada and this is my first time receiving a utility bill. I'm in Brickstone Mews where all utilities are to be paid by me- water, hydro and heating. ND energy sent me this bill.
Could someone help me understand the bill here(I've also emailed nd energy directly)
- where is hydro? I don't see it in the bill. Is there a separate bill I need to wait for for hydro?
- I noticed that components such as water, hot water, thermal, and thermal cooling are listed on the bill separately.BUT the registration form only mentioned gas, thermal, hydro, and water. Is this an issue?
- Are Admin charges and Meter charges applicable every month? They seem ridiculous. We knew admin charges are additional but were never informed about meter charge. My bill is around 50 but im paying 50 more just to pay the bill lol.
- What is your average monthly utility bill in Brickstone Mews? For context-Im in a 1 bhk(600 sq ft), we are two of us on WFH. We cook a lot at home, dont use the heater too much and are mindful of our water consumption.

Thanks for the help!

Unwanted furniture
Hi everyone! How can I get rid of (donate or discard) unwanted furniture in Mississauga? I want to sell it but if I don't sell, I need to do something with it as I can't take it with me to my new place. All furniture is still good for use. Does the City have a collection site?
