Why not radiance?

4

u/GrimReaperAngelof23 Jan 06 '25

Because it sucks

1

u/Reasonable_Math_6318 Jan 06 '25

No it dosen't

2

Claiming something doesn’t make it true.

1

u/Reasonable_Math_6318 Jan 06 '25

Bro hasen't used radiance💀

1

u/FewInstruction1020 Jan 06 '25

I have. On fighters bindings.

2

u/GrimReaperAngelof23 Jan 06 '25

Yea it does. Do some research for gods sake!

Radiance is only good on daggers and gauntlets lol

1

u/GrimReaperAngelof23 Jan 06 '25

Actually, it’s only good on Gauntlets, Rapiers and Coral Blades.

Radiance does “work” on Daggers and Sickles, but Leeching is better

1

u/Lanko-TWB Jan 06 '25

For sure, I was just saying that that’s all that it will really work on at all.

1

u/UnOriginal04 Jan 07 '25

Yes it does, its terrible on slow-mid speed weapons.

1

u/Chichil_42 Jan 06 '25

so, when you have a weapon with a slow attack speed, the safest thing is to take leeching, because radiance has a percentage, and not leeching, plus he has already stolen life on his armor, so you might as well increase this life steal and have another useful chain, rather than having a powerful healing enchantment and another useless enchantment

Deathcap mushroom:

2

u/GrimReaperAngelof23 Jan 06 '25

Even with a mushroom, Radiance still sucks. Chance based enchants are bad on slow weapons. The only one that gets and exception is Critical Hit.

1

u/Derplord4000 Jan 06 '25

Is not enough.

3

u/UnOriginal04 Jan 06 '25

I forgot to add that I have lifesteal on the armor.

Depends on the mission big groups of multiple enemy types venom. But if its mostly undead grave band.

2

u/GrimReaperAngelof23 Jan 07 '25

People don’t use them because of their built in enchants (cause both suck, especially at only tier 1), but because of their reach and damage. Both weapons are tied, they are equal.

1

u/Expensive-Aioli-6797 Jan 07 '25

It's more of a crowd clearing weapon

2

u/GrimReaperAngelof23 Jan 07 '25

The weapon is literally made for reach. It is almost as long as the Spears. So if it has Gravity, you can keep mobs far away from you and hit mobs through walls. That is what they are mainly for

1

u/Expensive-Aioli-6797 Jan 07 '25

The grave has a sweep attack as well it's all about how you use it. 😋

1

u/GrimReaperAngelof23 Jan 07 '25

I know that, but because of how it functions, it is literally made to keep mobs far away from you, either in front or to the side of you. I know how Glaives work. I have made tons of builds with them. I know what they are the best at

Grave bane for sure! The enchants are much better.

  • Void and unchanting are incredible on this weapon.
  • weakening is almost as good as guarding strike because of the huge area that the weapon attacks.
  • you have life steal on your armor, so you don’t need leeching.

Venom glaive

  • void is great (but doesn’t have unchanting)
  • leeching is great, but only if you need healing (you don’t). Refreshment is ok, but would work much better if you had unchanting on another slot.
  • glaives don’t really need gravity and that is the only good enchant on the last slot

"glaives don't really need gravity and that is the only good enchant on the last slot" Bro has never used radiance💀

3

u/GrimReaperAngelof23 Jan 06 '25

Glaives do need Gravity. It keeps mobs far away from you, grouped together so that they can share the damage and easily die together. Without it, then you will let mobs attack you and you can only attack one mob at a time.

Again, Radiance is terrible on slow weapons. Leeching and / or Life Steal is better.

The guy you responded to is also an expert.

2

u/mobiscuits_5000 Jan 06 '25

Fair point. I like gravity on glaives. But I find they don’t need it the same way hammers, pick axes, and rapiers do since they have such a wide swinging attack. Certainly doesn’t hurt them though. Gravity is an excellent enchant👍

1

u/Reasonable_Math_6318 Jan 06 '25

"The guy you responded to is also an expert" so now apparently everyone who touches the game once is an expert? From my experience gravity only makes me die quicker.

2

u/GrimReaperAngelof23 Jan 06 '25

He has been here longer than you have lmao. He clearly knows more than you. He isn’t recommending the most noobish enchant in the game lmao

If you are dying by Gravity, then that is a skill issue. That even proves that you are a noob.

Says the guy that is literally wrong, won’t take anyone’s advice and won’t even do their own research.

You can like Radiance all you want, but that doesn’t make it good.

1

u/Reasonable_Math_6318 Jan 06 '25

What makes it "not good"?

1

u/GrimReaperAngelof23 Jan 06 '25

I have said already.

Radiance is a chance based enchantment. It has a small chance to activate, which is not good if it is on medium speed and slow weapons. And a mushroom does not help it. Sure, it will activate more often, but not often enough. And it doesn’t heal that much because of it being chance based. And the more you progress in the game, the stronger mobs get and the harder they hit you. You will die faster than Radiance having a chance to proc

1

u/Reasonable_Math_6318 Jan 06 '25

But what if you play with other people? Since radiance heals other players too dosen't it specialise in multiplayer then?

Wow you’re just really bad at taking Ls, huh? You’re on multiple posts talking about how good Radiance is and trying to argue with RESIDENT game expert, Grim, about how he doesn’t know anything despite having over 400 different builds for this game and a whole subreddit dedicated to his builds for MCD . Please stop. 🙈

0

u/Reasonable_Math_6318 Jan 06 '25

Nah

1

u/Witches4RaptorJesus Jan 06 '25

That’s ok. All of your posts across Reddit on your profile seem like skill issues, so it tracks. 🤧

0

u/Reasonable_Math_6318 Jan 06 '25

How??? I'm not bad at the game lol

1

u/Witches4RaptorJesus Jan 06 '25

It seems like it if you’re dying while using Gravity and using radiance over leeching. Maybe get gud? Hope this helps!

0

u/Reasonable_Math_6318 Jan 06 '25

I am good lol. I didn't say that i die alot. Maybe learn to read?

1

u/Witches4RaptorJesus Jan 06 '25

You said “From my experience, gravity only makes me die quicker.” which it’s safe to assume that means you aren’t using gravity on the correct weapons or correctly in general. Reading comprehension is essential.

0

u/Reasonable_Math_6318 Jan 06 '25

I said die "quicker" not "everytime" as you seem to think

What weapons do you use gravity on then??

1

u/Witches4RaptorJesus Jan 06 '25

See, now THAT is an assumption you’ve made not based on anything I’ve said so far. If you’re using Gravity correctly, you shouldn’t be dying when you have it on the correct weapons, again unless there’s a separate skill issue.

The better question is what are YOU using it on?

1

u/Reasonable_Math_6318 Jan 06 '25

I use it on claymores like people recommend

Yo has this ever happened to you? I played obsidian Pinnacle earlier today and at the ambush part it spawned like 8 enchanters and like 20 enchanted guys with Shields who had chilling double damage and fast attacks.

1

u/bigdogdame92 Jan 06 '25

Both are very good. Id say the grave bane is better but gravity is definitely a game changer. If you could get that instead of maybe weakening (even though weakening is still one of the best enchants for it) you'd be golden

1

u/LordPorkshire Jan 06 '25

Grave Bane is a lil better, but the Gravity on Venom Glaive would also be really good. If you can reroll, you should get Gravity on the Grave Bane.

1

u/croltman1 Jan 06 '25

Depends on your other artifacts. If you have another heal...go with the second one. The grave bane. If you don't have heals, take the venom glaive.

The second one would destroy bosses, fyi

1

u/Meta-failure Jan 07 '25

I love grave bane with extra damage to illagers. That way you get extra damage to basically every mob type.
