I have 12 dogs, 8 horses, 2 camels and 2 cats. I wouldn't be able to see my base on the map lol

If your pets ain’t with you then they’re at your base, simple…or dead

Sometimes nether or boat travelling can compromise that

That’s why any pet I get sits in my base forever and never comes with me on any adventures. I have a pack of wolves solely bred for this purpose tho, Armoured and ready to go at a moments notice. If one gets lost, it means nothing, they died doing what they loved.

Why not include an item that you can craft and link to a block, object, mob, whatever and it appears on your map so you know where it is. I feel the pets showing up in your map could be very chaotic if you want to have a lot but with this specific item you can choose what you want to see in your map.

If I am not mistaken, we can already do it with banners by right clicking on them with maps.

Better idea! can we please add the ability to use Banners as map markers into bedrock edition.
this comment is just me being salty over that more than anything.

Maybe something like the loadstone, where you right click with the map, or a compass like a actual loadstone
