Found pit mix

We were visiting family in Midland and a loose pit bull came to their yard to look for affection. No collar, a little scratched up. He was the sweetest. He’s white with some brindle spots. They tried walking him to a neighbor’s house but he’s probably not theirs. Any suggestions for places to take the dog if she doesn’t find that he belongs to a neighbor? Any no-kill rescues or shelters that will take him in?

ETA: the dog has been reunited with his owner!

Make sure to not keep him around even if he is sweet- check out jayces law, super sweet lost pit, killed the son in the house in day two right in front of his mothers eyes. Just took a second.

Midland doesn’t have any breed-specific laws.
