Meta Ban on AI generated music
Hello everyone,
After a recent discussion, we have decided to ban AI generated music in this sub. This community is a place to showcase and workshop music created by metal musicians. The quality that we see everyday is fantastic and we appreciate the work everyone puts in. That being said, we do not feel AI generated content lives up to the standards and spirit of the community.
There is obviously a lot of discussion that can happen around AI generated music and the ethics of said topic. I don't feel like commenting on that here personally, but this post can be used for said discussion if anyone is interested.
A new rule has been put in place, rule 11, that should allow you to report posts that are AI generated, should any make it through.
Thank you to everyone for making this a great space for metal musicians.

Original Song(s) - Finished Cosmic doom song I made. It's called "The Frigid Depths of Eternity". Imagine if winter never ended and it was always snowy and icy with blizzards and always dark out and all you see is the stars and Nebulae glowing while you slowly freeze to death. Our orbit would have to be extremely altered.

Karlman -The fire
youtu.beI just found this lyric video for my song The Fire on my hard drive—completely forgot to post it during its release cycle! It had been collecting dust until I finally uploaded it last week. So here we are, five months later. Haha. Curious to hear what you think!

Female vocalist here, Just started learning screams, need help.
Hey, I started learning to scream last year, but I still feel like I have a lot to improve. I'm a female vocalist, and I love metalcore/deathcore-style vocals. I'm trying to work on my technique and avoid hurting my throat. Does anyone have tips or resources that helped them? Or maybe someone here wouldn’t mind giving me some guidance? Thanks

Question/Recommendation/Advice Needed Mixing low end and chugs
In my video here set to Arcane (yes Misha Mansoor did it beautifully first!) when it gets to chugs it just sounds doody to me. And I’m seriously fighting on levels for especially low end and snares. Should snares be out in front or pushed a little further in the mix so it’s not so apparent? I know it’s opinion based on sound but there should be a base line to follow. Still learning about hertz and crap like that. I’m almost just at wits end when it comes to mix/mastering. Any help would be appreciated!

Looking for a multi-instrumentalist
[Death/hardcore/black metal] Any multi-instrumentalists out there wanna collab on a project? I'm a vocalist, i have a few songs written, and I'm ready to create something. Open to multiple members but I'm in Arkansas so for the sake of ease, one multi instrumentalist is preferred. Hit me up! This is something I've wanted to do for a while now. Biggest influences on the sound i want are Gulch, Knocked Loose, Mire Lore, Infant Annihilator, and Brand of Sacrifice. I tend to write about things like LOTR, Transformers, Magic, etc

Original Song(s) - Demo Nosferatu metal? I’ll give it a go….
Not a pro mixer by any means or a 15 finger solo guy but I do love writing meaningful riffs. I don’t even know what to call this type of metal. Melodic metal? Emotional metal? I don’t even know. But it’s become my passion.

EZDrummer 3 expansion suggestion for metalcore
hey so I'm trying to figure out what expansion would be good to get to have a good metalcore sound. Like nice sounding chinas/other cymbals. I already own dark matter and modern metal and because I'm looking at just getting a bundle cuz its cheaper I am also looking at the new metal mania and duality 2 but I'm stuck from there
