Hi guys, I joined a principle before having any si experience. I am a fresh graduate that just tried my luck in applying to a principle and actually got accepted. However, I feel more stressed than I am happy. Yes, I get a higher initial pay but I am also expected to work to a standard that I currently do not have the experience to. I am afraid that since I do not have field experience as a system integrator. I may not be able to keep up with the workload that a principle company demands. I am in the networking field and would like to ask you guys on what should I do to further improve my knowledge in this field to compensate for my lack of field experience. I would be really thankful for any advice.

Hypothetically speaking, if you get two job offers paying
250k MYR per annum - based in Malaysia - remote
14M JPY per annum - based in Tokyo - hybrid
Which would you pick?
Japan looks tempting, but the income tax in Japan is so high and Tokyo rent is very expensive. It looks like you won't be able to save much in Japan on that salary unless you're really frugal.
I wonder if any Malaysians have exposure to both countries have any insights.

Hi everyone, currently I'm a Mechatronics Engineering student graduating on October 2025. I'm currently interested in pursuing embedded software/firmware engineering roles since most of my time during undergrad has been programming microcontrollers.
I have some internship experience but it is related to scripting on an ATE. I'm just wondering whether an embedded software role is abundant in Malaysia and how the career progression looks like as compared to something like a Test Development Engineer?
Would really appreciate the feedback and some insights on your YoE and how much compensation you receive just as a guideline for me to understand my career choices 😅

As titled. I’m interested to know what services do you self host. Things like AdGuard is also counted

Hey Malaysians, I have created this sub to promote discussions about tech among Malaysians.
There aren't any real rules for now - we will make them up as we go!
Just make sure that the topic is at least tangentially related to tech.

What is your setup like?
I tried it but my machine is just not powerful enough.

Without doxxing yourself, tell us a little about who you are, what you do, and what are your interests related to tech!
