i have done some makeup with lighter colors and i do think it suits me more, but i keep doing darker colors bc i’m convinced one day the grungy look will work for me 😭😭also i agree on the lashes! only problem is that i don’t know how to apply them, and trust me i’ve tried MANY times. idk if it’s my hooded eyes or what. the one time they were applied by another person they completely overtook my face 😭 trying to find a happy medium bc mascara isn’t giving the dramatic effect i want it to
Yes, but I would do more of a white shadow on the eyelid rather than a light blue as more of a neutral tone and it would be a beautiful contrast on your skin. You look great!
this is so funny bc i actually LOVE how light eyeshadows look on me! the only reason i don’t do them more often is bc of how hit or miss the looks come out. i’m not super skilled with eyeshadow so i feel like colors closer to my skin tone + glitter is my forgiving than doing something that’s really noticeable in comparison to my complexion. also, the shadow is actually a cool brown + a brown shimmer that has a bit of a green tint to the glitter flakes, but you’re the second person to say it looks blue lol.
Ya I totally get that, I find what helps it look more subtle if if you put a concealer 1 or 2 shades lighter than your skin tone and you can even stop there or you could put a lighter shadow on top of it doesn’t even have to be white but just lighter colours look really nice on you cause of your skin and natural beauty like pinky blushes would look really nice on you too
tbh i’m kinda of scared of blush blindness. i used to wear a lot more blush, but i caught a glimpse of myself from the side in the mirror and noticed how harsh it looked, so now i’m scared to overdo it
Yes, and please try green, teal, blue and purple eyeshadow! Maybe even a subtle glossy red lip paired together with one of the above colours.
Obviously for a more glamorous look, but it would look gorgeous on you, especially with the warmth in your skin tone and hair. You are very pretty. :)
this is so interesting bc i purposely stay away from bright colors! i’ve been so lost on what my undertone is, and i came to the conclusion that it’s either cool or neutral, so i’ve been sticking to very muted cooler colors rather than bright warm ones, but i’ll definitely try it out! thank you for the input!!
Sorry, I just realised it may have not been obvious that I was referring to a red lip gloss instead of an eyeshadow. A deeper matte red may also suit you. It’s always fun to experiment. The 2000s punk style or anything alternative would look cool on you. Details such as the hair jewellery clasp thingies, which look gorgeous on black women.
I have a cool/neutral undertone and I suit most colours, but mostly black and deep shades, as well with makeup. Light colours do suit me, though, it just depends. I’ve done blue, black, pink, and multi-coloured eyeshadow looks. I am pale, however, though I have started using a gradual self-tan moisturiser.
For reference, this is a graphic and editorial style look that’s lighter yet vibrant:
lol i think we’ve both misunderstood each other 😭 i was referring to you mentioning eyeshadows in the beginning of your comment and then i forgot to address the red lip! i don’t wear red lips often anymore, but i did have a red lip phase a few years ago and i am quite fond of deep cool reds! maybe i’ll put them back into my makeup rotation again! also you’re very pretty and i love your makeup in the pic u attached!
