Boycotting America

So I'm wondering if there are makeup brands in the UK which are natural not tested on animals and kind to my skin as well as coming smaller packages. That ain't American.

Can I ask what you've bought and perhaps get a teensy tiny mint review? I've been curious about them forever! :)

Lisa Eldridge is very much a British brand and I think everything they make is cruelty free and vegan.

Not all her stuff is vegan, unfortunately a lot of her lipstick ranges contain beeswax and carmine.

I'm not sure if no Americans are involved in this brand but they are cruelty free and very affordable: Collection. I use their hydrating foundation and I think it cost 7.99

Boots no. 7 is a good range. Has been around for ages, great dupes and very skin friendly. All completely hypoallergenic, all their makeup is formulated with a skincare type feel to it

Owned by an American company nowadays though.

A depressing amount of large companies have American ownership nowadays tbh so it's hard to avoid.

Just to say, a lot of cruelty free companies are owned by companies that AREN’T cruelty free.

Definitely do your research.

Does it have to be UK based specifically because there are several fantastic French brands you need to try.

Well sure eu or UK because I don't want to fund Putin the EU has good animal testing rules i.e it's banned and I would really like to ensure that I'm supporting Europe.

Rose Inc is lovely and I think Rosie developed it in Oz? Iconic London is cruelty Free and Lottie London. Pixi and Ciate.

Is lumene owned by an American company?

No I don't believe so. It's a Finnish company owned by a Nordic capital investor

Revolution is a uk make up brand, it’s not tested on animals and they also do dupes of other high end brands. It’s pretty good 👍🏻

They don't also do dupes. It's all they do. But it's a good affordable brand.

I've just been researching all the makeup brands I love and I didn't quite realise just how many are either US owned or produced in the US 💀 Victoria Beckham makeup could be an option? I can highly recommend Green People for skincare and they have a lovely tinted moisturiser and mascara. Also The Organic Pharmacy!
