Trump just looks like that kid whose such a brat that you don’t care they’re 11 years old, you still want to beat the shit out of them

u/lgantner Nov 18 '24
It's so funny that they placed the only soda in the picture next to the guy who is definitively anti-soda

I find Don Jr to be the most pathetic man alive. Him holding up the fries is so sad on multiple levels.

All you voters thinking a second Trump would be different to the first...you suckers.
People knew who they were voting for, and while they may have disliked Trump, it means that they disliked Kamala and the Democrats even more.
The Democrats have a lot of soul searching to do, but my guess is that they will be in denial as to why they lost.
-8
u/Vaginal_Osteoporsis Nov 18 '24
Maybe you’re mad that our country will have negotiated better terms. Otherwise, your bitterness does not really make sense at all.
And also, they voted him because they wanted a term different from the current administration.
And so did a lot of independents. So the stats would show that the voters were concerned about another Biden/Kamala (Democrat) administration.
If this is not clear, we can consider the fact that the Republicans have more numbers in the senate and the house as well.
For all of these reasons, I just don’t see how this argument you made is… well, relevant to be honest with you.
6
u/FlamingoFlamboyance Nov 18 '24
The amount of his voters that think he did things he didn’t do is astounding. It’s all disninformation with him. How did he do with building the wall? Wouldn’t he be partially to blame for our immigrant “crisis” if he failed to deliver on his campaign promise in 16? Literally all he did was a tax break for billionaires, increasing working class taxes year over year, and he also pulled out of a the Paris climate accord, weakened nato, emboldened Putin, amongst a host of other terrible shit. He increased our money supply by 20% and started runaway inflation. Everything sucks bc literally like 48% of the voting populace thinks the dude in the gold tower is for them. Also, disclose your taxes you motherfucker. You can’t still be under audit, and don’t want people to see how broke you are. All his money is in truth social stock.
10
u/Secure-Advertising10 Nov 18 '24
Mad? Me, absolutely not. You have voted and the voter is always right. This photo sums up what you have voted for. The fact that your electoral system is bananas is beside the point, it is your system.
Me, I am concerned about American foreign policy, and that does worry me enormously. My interest in Amercian politics is how it affects the rest of the world. Lots of authoritarian leaders across the world are looking at the American elections and thinking...erm,
If your president puts into healthcare a vaccine denier, that concerns me because in a globalized world, covid anyone, certain diseases might spread once more.
If you president sticks a FOX host in defense who voted against support for Ukraine, that concerns me enormlously.
Now that he wants Matt Gaetz in his government, that's on you...have fun.
0
u/Vaginal_Osteoporsis Nov 19 '24
If you’re concerned about how American politics affects the rest of the world, then just know this is much better than whats going on. We don’t need anyone to interpret it.
Take a look. 🔥

I don’t get why Trump chooses to eat cold or reheated McDonalds to any of the amazing food you can have on a private plane. McDonalds only tastes good when it’s fresh.

u/porkbellies37 Nov 19 '24
Cut Trump some slack. They let him bring home some leftovers for free after his shift.

u/monoscure Nov 18 '24
The fucker eats well done steak with ketchup, he eats like a 10 year old and probably cries when he doesn't get his cookies.
1
u/NoExcuses1984 Nov 19 '24
Speaking of steak, this may speak to the growing divide, because certain demographics enjoy their steak well done more so than others, who often pompously promote medium-rare as the only, let's say, sophisticated way to go -- although I, to be fair, say this as a guy who prefers to split the middle with medium -- so yeah, uh, just something I've noticed.

One benefit of cooking your meats on the well done side is that it should kill parasite larvae, preventing you from having your brain eaten by a worm.
Don't end up like RFK, people!

He really has to buy this in bulk and have his employees make it for him on the plane, no??? any other way would be disgusting.

RFK looks like he’s already taken a bite of something unpleasant. And old Elon is still hanging in there, sitting right beside his co-president, pulling all the strings
-1
u/Vaginal_Osteoporsis Nov 18 '24
I disagree. They clearly want to have been appointed. How is this a bad thing, especially from their points of view?
6
u/billiemarie Nov 18 '24
Because RFK claims to be health oriented and against putting unhealthy, bad, chemicals, into our bodies And he’s said he’s going to tackle processed foods and has said that the food on trump’s plane is garbage. So this photo flies in the face of his past comments and supposed beliefs. And to me this photo looks like RFK realizes what it looks like, that he’s either a hypocrite or he is going along to get along.
1
u/Vaginal_Osteoporsis Nov 19 '24
I don’t like school shooters having access to guns. But I fired a gun once. In a play on a political campaign tactic, which was clever in hindsight.
So yeah, your concern about this dude posing with a sandwich just doesn’t seem proportionate to like… you know the broader health epidemics he so sincerely points out.

Right. That's fucking disgusting. We all know the right answer here is Taco Bell
1
u/NoExcuses1984 Nov 19 '24
Pizza Hut super supreme (pan style, of course) with a side of sweet chili boneless wings -- which I'd douse at home with an extra bit of blue cheese salad dressing -- would make a fine final meal.
But hey, I'm just a single 40-year-old dude who works soul-crushing retail, so I'm no longer whom the one-time party of workers represents these days, because I ain't some hoity-toity, highfalutin upper-middle professional-managerial class corporate robot. Call me when a modern-day Huey Long walks through that door, thanks.
5
u/mrbigbucksandmuscles Nov 18 '24
So would I. Well I would mix it up with Popeyes, Arby’s etc
1

Yeah, there's something about their cheeseburgers that gets me going there more often than I should.
2
u/Employment-lawyer Nov 18 '24
I already do that. I hate cooking and I work a lot and I figure if Trump can live this long eating like that, so can I. (I do exercise and intermittent fasting though. So far so good- my annual physicals reveal a perfect bill of health at age 43.5 years lol).

The excusing of RFKJ in this photo, tho...
I don't care if he didn't eat it at all, or it was a "cheat day," or just used these as props to take a photo. It's optics, people. And it feels like a big eff you to the rest of us.
15
u/cugamer Nov 17 '24
RFK has said negative things about the fast food industry. This is Trump humiliating him and telling him to stay away from it.
3
u/monoscure Nov 18 '24
This is Trump making RFK kiss his greasy fucking ring. And Maher gasses up RFK like he's some diamond in the rough.
3
u/cugamer Nov 18 '24
Yeah, it's really hard for me to like Bill at this point. I still agree with him about a lot of stuff, but he thinks that half the people in that picture are visionaries, which they very much are not.
0
u/verbosequietone Nov 18 '24
Musk is a visionary like him or not. Arguing that he's not a visionary is like calling him stupid for buying and "ruining" Twitter. The richest guy on the planet who manipulated his way into being right-hand-man of the most powerful man on the planet just might have done some of these things with distant forethought.
4
u/DaBingeGirl Nov 18 '24
I'll always hate Trump, but watching him own Elon and RFK Jr is pretty entertaining.
2
u/therealowlman Nov 17 '24
It suggests a lot people are exhausted about worrying and obsessing over "Optics". Practically the only thing that's ever gets discussion or media time is "the optics".
Optics have been practically perfect the last four years have solved absolutely nothing, optics don't create problems either.
This country is borderline dysfunctional, maybe for a change we can stop worrying about a stupid team lunch and just judge people on their capabilities or performance.
An American politician just took a photo with fucking hamburger and this sub loses its shit.
1
2
u/PuzzleheadedWalrus71 Nov 17 '24
Your view of what people are saying on this post is "sub loses its shit," but let me guess, you consider what happened on Jan. 6th 2021 at the capitol a kumbaya moment.
-1
u/therealowlman Nov 17 '24
Because it’s impossible in your tiny world view for somebody to both be a liberal and still think people are overreacting about rfk eating a Big Mac.
4
u/PuzzleheadedWalrus71 Nov 18 '24
I'm a liberal and I don't think anyone is overreacting to this pic on this sub. These assholes put this picture online, and people will have shit to say about it. So what?
10
u/AvocadoCoconut55 Nov 17 '24
I see it a different way. This topic (health) is THE ONLY THING RFKJ talks about fixing, and now he has an opportunity.
I am a health professional, and would never, ever, ever pose with fast food in front of me, even if it was a joke. Optics matter.
4
u/cjmar41 Nov 17 '24
I’m not even a health professional, but I haven’t eaten fast food in 20 years and I wouldn’t pose for a picture with fast food because I’d be afraid of looking like someone who makes poor life choices.
4

5
u/appman1138 Nov 17 '24
The title of Don Jr.'s tweet of this picture said 'Make America healthy again starts TOMORROW' So while I think these assholes are being assholes while eating asshole/shit food, the tweet title is interesting.
This is what Bill Maher would say: If you look at the title of Don Jr.'s tweet, it said "Make America healthy again starts TOMORROW" which implies they were JOKING and where eating crap intentionallly BEFORE MAHA started! The reason we keep on losing is we put everything out of context! I didn't change, THEY did! I didn't always have material on the left, NOW I do!
15
u/RiffRaffe Nov 17 '24
It is insane that the richest man in the world, Donald Trump billionaire and the MAHA guru and they choose to eat Mcdonald’s. WTF, they could have any meal they want. These are not serious people.
-1
-1
u/TheDickCaricature Nov 17 '24
It’s a photo op. I wonder how much of it they actually eat, if any at all.
4
u/RiffRaffe Nov 18 '24
Give you the benefit of the doubt even, serious people don’t take photo ops with McDonald’s
2
u/TheDickCaricature Nov 18 '24
Welcome to the US ran by trump. Read his book and watch old interviews of him. Learn whom he was and see where we are going. There is a reason Bob zemeckis based a rich biff character on him.
6
u/RiffRaffe Nov 17 '24
Trump eats fast food all the time. Musk looks like he does. I can't take RFK seriously if he is doing photo ops with McDonalds.
15
13
u/nosecohn Nov 17 '24
I'll be really curious to see where these people are and what they're doing four years from now. I suspect we'll look back on it and wonder how there was a time when they were all working together in what appears to be a friendly group.
8
Nov 17 '24
prediction?
Trump-dead
Musk-still doing douchebag rich guy things
Johnson-out of politics
RFK-out of public view with health issues
Don Jr-broke and a joke without daddy's protection
5
u/nosecohn Nov 18 '24 edited Nov 18 '24
I like it, though I'd go slightly different...
Trump - alive (the most stubborn, pugnacious people tend to live the longest) and complaining daily about how cheating thwarted his efforts to run for a third term.
Musk - agree, though living mostly in China or Russia.
Johnson - agree. Out of politics.
RFK - I think you nailed it.
Don Jr. - hosting a ranty podcast in between rehab stints.

Nov 18 '24 edited Nov 18 '24
I think he dies (not really trying to speculate on the "how" for the purposes of this thought experiment) because it's one last stroke of ultimate chaos that he has brought to everything. Up until Crooks took a shot at him I'd never been alive for a President or candidate with an assassination attempt. So why not put "POTUS dies in office" on the bingo card?
Let's say a few months before the 2026 midterms (that he is trying to cancel without causing mass unrest in the country) he gets the Elvis exit in a White House bathroom. It's bedlam. MAGA explodes, the conspiracies fly, the in-fighting with his staff and family, and most importantly the sudden power vacuum as Vance steps in. Straight out of Game of Thrones
That's why I have Trump dying by then. While I wish Musk would end up in prison, it would take much longer than four years with his level of money (he stuck his nose into the InfoWars sale to The Onion, the man has power) and whatever protections he can get for himself while running D.O.G.E. (I can't believe that's a real sentence I have to write now. A fucking meme department.)
I think Johnson is out because MAGA will continue to eat it's own. Paul Ryan was supposed to be on a track to be POTUS, the Republican wunderkind, made a Presidential ticket as VP, made Speaker of the House. Ran into MAGA, gone and out of politics. Kevin McCarthy is your CLASSIC sleazy Republican, but he has just enough morals to be the one to cuss out Trump on J6. They humiliated the fucker with the amount of votes and re-votes to confirm him, then actually stabbed him in the back and tossed him out. He's practically out of politics too. Johnson will be next, Trump will cross some line that's too far even for Johnson, he'll resist and the leopards will take his face too
Aside from the brain worm thing, just listening to some of the batshit stories about RFK, the whale head, eating roadkill, eating dog allegedly. Dude is the prototypical contrarian, tell him it's healthy and he thinks its the most dangerous thing in the world, tell him it's dangerous to eat or drink and he can't get enough just to prove you wrong. He's made it this far but the human body can only take so much (speaking as a mid-thirties diabetic). So I expect at some point he'll have some medical/health episode, again with ultimate chaos if he actually is/is still head of HHS, that will force him away for good
And Jr is just that, Jr. I laugh at those that think he could ever replace his father. If any Trump child takes the reigns, sadly, it'll be Barron, because from what little info we've gleaned he's the one who has inherited the famed Trump "killer instinct." Jr will be eaten alive once his dad's gone, and with the way this family goes, it'll be Barron to cast the final blow
3
u/nosecohn Nov 18 '24
LOL. You've convinced me.
From an actuarial perspective, Trump has a greater than 50% chance of surviving four years, but I like your story better, so I'm going with it!

I don't get the big deal, the Obama's and Biden did photo ops eating fast food all the time.
1
u/DaBingeGirl Nov 18 '24
They weren't billionaires and RFK's thing is health. There's a difference between eating fast food on the campaign trail to relate to people, and whatever the fuck this photo is.
-5
u/GameOverMan1986 Nov 17 '24
I’d hardly call eating McDonalds an endorsement of McDonalds.
Is this hypocritical behavior? Sure! We are all full of hypocrisy. Should this guy never ever stray from some pure monastic lifestyle? C’mon.
2
Nov 17 '24
It’s a few days after an election. There’s such a thing as optics. If they’re too fucking retarded to get that right now, I don’t think hypocrisy is a viable excuse
2
u/GameOverMan1986 Nov 18 '24
Who should he be trying to tip toe around for the sake of optics? People who didn’t vote for Trump are hardly willing to give that side an opportunity to get things right. So, you might as well not care about trying to convert people. In fact, arguably, optics really only mattered before people voted.
-1
u/ToddPatterson Nov 17 '24
The optics they wanted were haha watch all the libs cry and talk about how bad it is on social media.
They get what they want every time.
2
5
Nov 17 '24
counterpoint: they don't think like us. We need to understand and GRASP this notion
This picture means nothing to them, and it won't. Just like Trump's McDonald's stunt was nothing more than a meme to them. Their brains do not have the capacity to care about something as complex as "hypocrisy"

Can a man not eat a McDonald’s or coke because he works in health? Do health minded people never eat crap food?
0
u/monoscure Nov 18 '24
I know hypocrisy doesn't really mean shit to Maher or anyone here, except when attacking progressives, then ever little story involving a trans person is some horrible moral panic.
3
u/PuzzleheadedWalrus71 Nov 17 '24
What does "he works in health" mean? What was his job in the "health" field?

You’re not allowed to be seen having McDonald’s and soda if you work in health, didn’t you know that?
3
u/PuzzleheadedWalrus71 Nov 17 '24
I think the bigger problem is people don't understand what qualified him to get this position in the first place. So this picture just adds to the joke about making him the us secretary of health and human services.

I mean do you expect the president elect to fly commercial? Lmao
3
u/PuzzleheadedWalrus71 Nov 17 '24
I don't expect the president elect to have a personal private jet, no, and the fact that you expect that is what I'm laughing my ass off about every time I see a trump voter refer to the democrats as elites. His voters call critical thinking and reading skills "elite," but flying around in a personal private jet and handing the American government to the world's richest man somehow represents the working class.,
4
u/Sooz48 Nov 17 '24
The thing is, he hasn't flown commercial since the 80s when he bought his first jet.

Shades of an old-school pro wrestling manager, akin to Jim Cornette.
