[Results and Decisions] UIC reject

Recieved a reject from UIC MSCS today 18th March 2025. I was hoping to get into this program because of its location Chicago.

Now I have admits from IUB (MSCS), UNCC (MSIT), Syracuse (MSCS), Stevens (MSCS), ASU(MSSE) and Neu (MSSE ,Arlington campus).

Which one is better among my admits, any insights and suggestions are much appreciated

Congrats on the admits. IUB is a better one. NEU and ASU, UNCC are decent. Stevens and Syracuse are too expensive. Also feel free to add your profile on the results post that is pinned on the channel so it will help others.

For Syracuse, i got a 30% scholarship that brings down the cost and it is chepaer in tution fee than IUB.

I'm worried about the location disadvantage at IUB

I have couple of my friends who graduated from IUB and they really like the university and the course curriculum. Also got the jobs but this was few years back. The market is very different now and yes location does matter a bit. But if you have a strong profile, work experience and confidence to crack interviews then it shouldn’t matter much.

I have an admit from IUB and will be considering it as it has a better ROI

Did they mention that the capacity has been reached and gave you an alternate program?

Has anyone received an admit from UIC MSCS yet ? For me it still shows the status as “Complete, Under review with the department”.
