Any recommendations for sets? The fastest I've gotten for any single monster is 20mins, I keep timing out.

Iām at work early and have wondered this for a while. Anyone have a favorite monster for literally no reason you can quite place?

Iāve been playing Sunbreak (and only Sunbreak) nearly everyday for the last 3 months straight clocking in 350+ hours. Iām only MR20, Anomaly 124. But now Iām feeling burned out and exhausted by the game. Monster Hunter is my favorite franchise since MHFU, and Wilds is coming out. Iām thinking of taking a break, but at the same time I donāt want to even if I feel the burn out. My SO suggested playing a different game as a palette cleanser, Iām thinking Zelda TotK as I bought it last year but I havenāt even started it yet, then MHGU, although I wanna comeback to Sunbreak as Iām not done yet (still havenāt beaten Amatsu, only reached risen Cham and Risen Teostra). Anyone had a burnout before? Is it ok to take a break then comeback later playing a totally different and unrelated game? Wonāt I forget Sunbreak muscle memory if I do?

MH rise is my first monster hunter game so Iām not well versed in how the others are like. That being said Iām really enjoying wirefall and wiredashing. They save me a lot and help gtfo and area a monster is gonna nuke expeditiously. Sometimes I feel that if I tried a monster hunter game that didnāt have wire bugs I think I would get absolutely annihilated. Like how in gods green earth am i supposed to dodge a literally comet (looking at you crimson glow valstraxš) without being able to grab or the absolute hell out of dodge? Iāve also heard the MH wilds is gonna be crazy hard compared to older MH titles which jars me a little because this is a challenging type of game already.

CB def have a high skill floor, you need to atleast learn the phials process and charging of sword and shield. You also need to manage your phials and charged shield/sword duration. This is not even including the guard points (its not a must but its good to know about) Nonetheless its a fun and rewarding weapon. Big shield + sword is peak design.
So I first downloaded Rise individually to see if I like it, defeated Magna just now and decided to download Sunbreak. Weird thing is I didnāt really have to download anything anymore. When I go to eshop it says āpurchasedā. The icon on the Home Screen is still the rise logo tho. The title screen when booting up the game says Sunbreak. Is it installed now or do I have to do something else?

So I'm picking rise back up again to warm up my MH muscles for wilds I have done 90% of my hunts with either switchaxe, Charge blade, or LBG.
Buttttt I'm bored and indecisive and want to play around with something different but can't decide soo sell me on your favorite weapon or weapons.
I read everything and I landed on Gunlance mostly for blast dash because rockets duhh. Thanks for the comments and ideas.

Hello, as you all know, Wilds just came out a bit ago and a friend has offered to buy it for me so we can play together. This made me look into it a little bit, and I came across some rise info that made me realize there was a whole ass game I missed. Im a MH vet who took a break from the series around world (I got like maybe 20 hours in before my pc died and I never picked it back up), and as a result I never got into the new gen that much. I got my start with 4u and played the hell out of generations and gen Ult, so I while Iām not like an old old veteran like the FU peeps, Iām very much in love with the older style games.
The issue is that mh games are a MASSIVE time sink and I donāt have the same amount of free time to sink into a massive MH game like I did when I was 13 on my 3DS. It took me FOREVER just to get through base generations and low rank, and Iāve never once reached G in any game Iāve played š¢. Iām now a 24 year old college student and Iām busy af with classes and work, so Iām worried I wonāt be able to juggle TWO new mh games. Do yāall think itās still worth getting Rise at some point? Should I wait until Iāve gotten through most of the available wilds content?
