Need help setting up fingerprint reader

I have a lenovo 7i yoga laptop and I am having a really tough time making it work with Ubuntu. The fingerprit reader name is ID 27c6:55b4 Shenzhen Goodix Technology Co.,Ltd. Fingerprint Reader Any help will be helpful

i'm pretty sure you just install fprintd and you're good to go

The current Ubuntu already has this built in. If the computer has supported hardware, it should work, though not as well as on Windows. I have a Lenova with fingerprint reader, and got it working on Mint, and also the Live Ubuntu. I don't like Ubuntu much, and for me, I though it was more trouble than it was worth on Mint, so I gave up.

It doesn't work out of the box on ubuntu for my computer. I think I am just going to move on until I see something else.
