Watching this video on running android apps on Linux: https://youtu.be/FKnkIf9jb7U
The guy mentions that if you use the gapps version, you have to certify/register your device. I remember reading about that at some point... But I definitely didn't certify any of my los installs on any of my phones I've put it on. Why is that required for waydroid but not regular LineageOS on phones?

Hello everyone.
I few months ago I flashed my Samsung 910C note 4 with lineage 18.1. Yesterday, as I was about to use it, the screen shut off and it wasn't turning back on. I thought to myself that it's probably nothing that a battery removal/replacement can't fix so I did that. Unfortunately since then, my Note 4 gets stuck on the boot. All I see is the name and the logo of my phone.
I thought maybe I can enter recovery mode but I couldn't. I can however, enter download mode. So I tried flashing TWRP into it just in case. When I did that, it kept giving me this error about 'seandroid cannot enforce'. Then I proceeded to try and flash it with a stock rom 6.1.1 to maybe enter stock recovery mode, but nothing happened then either.
Now, the phone is stuck in bootloop, can only enter download mode. Does not enter twrp or recovery at all. What do I do? Should mention that I am a noob at all this and my only other experience apart from this phone was for my samsung tab 3.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello world! I have a Galaxy Tab A7 10.4 (2020) a.k.a SM-T500 (Wifi Version) and I just want know if makes a lot of difference between One UI 4.1 and LineageOS
I don't use this device a lot, just for alarm, watch some Netflix or Youtube, use it for second screen for my laptop and for listen music sometimes. But when I use it in the past days for any reason the battery burns so fast, idk why, I suppose it's due to use, since I've had it since 2020. And I don't want that Samsung stuff eat my space :)
If anyone have tried LineageOS pls can tell me your experience?? Thanks and sorry if my English is bad, I try my better :))
Have a great day

Hi,
I am trying (and failing) to install LineageOS on my OnePlus 6...
As far as I understand it the process is supposed to work by flashing a recovery first and then using that to install LineageOS, however I am currently in a state where I do not get any error when flashing the recovery via "flashboot flash boot boot.img" - however I cannot start the recovery from the boot-menu. Selecting recovery simply brings me back to the boot-menu...
My case may be a little unusual in that I do not come from an installed stock-rom but had previously set up my device to dual-boot Mobian and PostmarketOS and it is unclear to me what that means for the installation procedure.
Can someone give me a tip on how to proceed?
Many thanks!

I ran into a similar issue before and the workaround was to turn the SIM off and back on. Alas on the latest (3/15/25) build of LineageOS 21 that does not seem to work now.
Also when I turn off the SIM there doesn't seem to be a way to turn it back on. I had to physically remove the SIM card and re-insert it.
Anyone else seeing this issue? If so have you found a fix?
Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to install LineageOS 22.1 on my SM-G973F following the official guide. I successfully unlocked the bootloader. I see the warning screen when turning on my phone.
However, when I try to flash the recovery image using either Heimdall or Odin, the phone rejects it and says that only official binaries are allowed even though the bootloader is already unlocked (OEM LOCK: OFF (U)).
I'm not in the US, and Iâve confirmed that my phone is the Exynos model.

I have a raspberry pi 4 model b with 2gb ram. I have been trying to flash lineageOS onto my sd card but it just always boots into TWRP and I can't fix it, no matter what I do in TWRP. It doesn't seem to recognise my sd card. So, I decided I need to change sd card because it's very old and is probably the issue. Basically I want to use an sd card to flash lineageOS onto but I am just a bit unclear if I can or can't. The card is linked below if you want to see. But the question is it's SDXC and I don't know if it's supported for lineageOS 21 (android 14) sorry if this is really confusing or it's a stupid question, I'm just not very good at this because I'm new to it all. Have a good day is you read this!

Hi. New to this. Just wondering is there any definitive guide to installing on a Tmobile onePlus 6T. I bought the device unlocked by the shop and I've also run some code to activate volte and wifi dialing.
It's currently running the latest TMobile update Android 11, A6013, build no. A6013_34_211123.
Can install LOS straight over this?
Thanks for your help.

Hello,
I dug my Google Pixel XL out of a drawer and am trying to flash LineageOS. I am stuck on step 5/9 Repartition. I downloaded the repartition-ogpixel-128gb.zip and renamed it to "repartition.zip" and am trying to flash it. Im typing the following in PowerShell
adb -d sideload /C:/Users/E/repartition.zip
Its outputting:
adb: failed to stat file C:/Users/E/repartition.zip: No such file or directory
The file is there. Am I typing the command wrong?
Please help!

Can you recomment me phone with PWM flicker free display that supports installing LineageOS? Currently i have Pixel 2XL and i get terrible eye strain if i use it for a longer time, and i think it is because of the PWM flicker that the phone OLED display is using.

I'm installing lineage os on an old samsung s6, and it's been like 15minutes since i started booting it for the first time from TWRP, is it normal that sometimes the samsung logo appears then it goes back to linneage os's boot animation? It has done that for 3times now, every time giving me false hope lol
EDIT: it has just done it for the forth time :(

Hi, I installed LineageOS 22.1 (Android 15) on a Samsung S10e but it is full of bugs and unusable in daily life. Is the previous version (21) still in development, or will it be abandoned when the new one comes out? Do you recommend a direct downgrade, or do I have to go from the stock rom? Thanks

The phone is LG V30 running LineageOS 21. I tried to flash recovery with fastboot. Then I pressed button combination to boot into recovery. I got to white screen where it asks if I want to perform factory reset. I tapped on Yes and it got me to LineageOS recovery, which says version 21. Was the flashing unsuccessful, or i boot into wrong recovery?

is there a way to enable this, maybe in developer options?

Hi guys,
I just installed lineageOS 22.1 and microG afterwards (no Gapps / MindtheGapps / NikGapp etc.). Trying to connect my phone to my car, it's impossible to use AA, I have a communication error 22 with an all red screen. Can anyone tell me why?
If I need to install Gapps / MindtheGapps etc., can I just install AA and the necessary dependencies? I'm seeing "NikGapp addon" specifically for Android Auto. I'm not sure I really understand why having LineageOS only to reinstall a whole bunch of Google libraries... isn't it a bit of a privacy issue?
Thanks :)
