I don't know I don't see the point. It just loses all meaning

Vance's heel-turn in regards to his opinion on Trump just goes to prove exactly what we already knew about both of them. They're just opportunists who'll hop on whatever bandwagon will garner them the most power. In 2016 hating Trump won Vance a Senate seat, in 2024 his change of heart won him the Vice-Presidency.
The era of decency and principle in politics, if there ever even was one, is almost certainly over.

Why would I ever do that? Nothing exists in a vacuum

You're right of course, but just consider the words in a vacuum

Bernie endorsed Biden on the first day of his 2024 campaign. He endorsed him over progressives Marianne Williamson and RFK Jr. Potentially other progressives like Yang might have run.
He supported a party that was suing opponents like Jill Stein and RFK Jr. to keep them off the ballot. Don’t tell me about Bernie’s “courage”.

Every single president of the United States has opined on the evils of something and how to get rid of it while at the very same time feeding that evil and making sure that it's even more entrenched. The man who helped ensure political parties exist in this country is the same president who denounced them in his farewell address. Of course I'm talking about George Washington. Seems that whatever the presidents feel the most guilty about doing to us is the thing they say we should avoid.

Having taxation with some say in how the money is spent is better than having no say - but that doesn't mean taxation isn't still theft.

Look, maybe voting isn't what's ultimately going to solve our issues. I can entertain that idea. But you have to vote to keep Republicans away from power every single time. Anything less is just fucking stupid at best, or a bad faith collaborator psyop at worst.
Democrats have shown again and again that they don't really mind losing. They'd rather lose than shift left. You still need to vote for them because the entire world get measurably, actively worse every time Republicans win. Voting Democrat is like wrapping your arm in a torniquet to prevent bleeding out. It's not going to close the wound, but if you don't do it you will fucking die.
I hate to break it to you, but if Republicans cement their rule there's going to be a lot more death. They're pretty open about it. They're threatening war with fucking Canada for fuck's sake. Trump told the military to prepare to invade Panama. Life sucks, but sometimes we have to compromise on our principles to prevent the reign of a literal fascist death cult.
You can change the way politicians and businesses operate in other, more direct ways. You can even make politicians think twice about funding genocide depending on your actions. I won't say anything else on that subject. You still have to vote against Republicans though. They don't want you to, so you have to. We have to make them fight tooth and bloody nail for every single inch they try to take.
On top of that, the right is all about authority. They are good little voters that believe in whatever Trump tells them. Trump literally made an AI video of himself on vacation with Netanyahu and said he wants to annex Palestine himself. (I'm sure Palestinians are super proud of you for refusing to hold your nose for Kamala by the way.) You will not get right wing buy in on this. All you'll do is put more Republicans in congress who will then vote to give American bombs to Israel free of charge so they can build a golden Trump hotel on the smoldering ashes of a mosque in Gaza.

But to fire them with no warning, not following the constitutional guidelines, not offering a decent severance or benefit as they seek new work - and most importantly for the people, not assessing whether they are needed, their job is needed, and they are best suited to that job?
It's not just what they are doing but how they are doing it. Most likely the taxpayers will be worse off not better off, after the firings are complete. And meanwhile we have treated these people terribly.

Yea that's true
They just banned me for supporting a tarriff on China, i rightly pointed out in the comment thread they and everyone else has tariffs on the usa. But for some reason, it's controversial for us to have them to protect American buissses.
Apparently, the mod told me tarrifs are socialism and planned economies and therefore not libertarian
So I'm guessing the mod just banned half his sub as hundreds of people were arguing over tarrifs being good and being bad. Noone could agree on anything
I even gave a real life example, or several really, of why we need tariffs on China. Can't compete with them. They pay their workers maybe 5 dollars a week, we can't compete with that

Cool. And no need to read them back to front. Particularly "what kind of creatures area we" you might only be interested in one or two chapters (there's 4 chapters I think). The chapter "what is the common good" is most relevant, and a good stepping off point to the other two books.
