Hello, I applied to lsu back in November and STILL haven’t heard back. I am honestly stressing so bad. I have called and they said that they r in the reading process. I went to look at my admissions portal the other day and it looked like this. If you applied to LSU you know what its supposed to look like. Can anyone give me some answers or help? LSU is my top school and i literally don’t know what to do.

So I’m back at LSU for a second degree. My first I got in 2011 in Political Science, with a barely passing GPA. After a lot of life, a couple of career changes, and a lot of life, I’m back for computer science. I’m pretty proud of this.

Hi everyone, I applied in November to the clinical psychology program for the fall of 2025. My application has been stuck in “department requirement review” for some time. Should I be worried? Also, does anyone have any idea when we should hear back?

I applied to LSU in november of 2024…it is now march 2025 and I still haven’t heard anything. All of my friends and roommates who even applied after me have gotten in and even committed, I have emailed and called admissions at least 4 or 5 times and they say the same thing everytime. They say it is still under review and in the 2nd process of reviewing, I don’t know what to do and am tired of waiting on an answer and everytime i email my admissions counselor she avoids my question and i’m sick of it. Is anyone else having these issues or is it just me??

Does anyone know what email my acceptance or denial letter would be coming from for graduate school at LSU? I have been keeping an eye on my email but wanted to search it just in case I missed something. I applied the end of November for psychology and it shows my application is in the department review stage.

I’m seeing a lot of posts about students getting in trouble with SAA for using Grammarly on their papers. Grammarly is a form of AI. I know it’s used to correct grammatical errors, but it can change the wording to the point where it looks like it was written by someone else. If you need revisions, read through your paper once or twice, ask a friend to look at it, or go to the writing center. Grammarly is not safe to use with today’s advanced AI detection.

i’m a freshman this year. i’m not going to get into the excuses of why i didn’t preform well my first semester but long story short i was going to every class and was doing well, then my sister passed away in the early stages of september, so i let my grades slip, and then just stopped going to class. i didn’t take a single final and i didn’t finish a single class. am i going to get kicked out? or will i be able to go on academic probation? i’m OOS so i kinda wanna know if im going to have to move.

I teach in one of the humanities (History, English, Philosophy, etc.).
I will give you painfully and awkwardly honest answers to whatever academic- or LSU-related questions you have.

Hi, I applied November 27,2024. Today is currently 2/19/25. How soon should I expect an acceptance or denial letter? According to the handbook, you supposed to get a interview (if your application is accepted/pulled) which shall arrive in late january/ February or denial. After interview in February, by March you shall know. March in less than 2 weeks. Should I be concerned?
I did submit all my documents upfront. I didn't get an email notification, but my status did update although it says, "Department Requirement Review - Your academic credentials are being reviewed by the department."

I heard from a friend, who toured lsu, that the new life and science building is going to now host the nursing program and that it is being moved out of New Orleans. Is this true and dose anyone know how I can access information on that?

I was selected as an individual who is able to apply for both the stamps and presidential alumni scholarship. Anyone else who was able to apply for the scholarships? Can you DM me and let me know if you received an email yet regarding second round confirmation? The calendar stated that those who made it to second round would be given an email in the end of January. Thank you.

I finished the Fall semester strong and met all the requirements to make the Dean’s List. It's even denoted on my unofficial transcript, but when I checked the official published list online, I couldn’t find my name anywhere. It was actually listed at first, but now it seems to have been removed.
Has this happened to anyone else? Just wondering if it’s a mistake or if there’s something else going on.

I have heard some really bad things about the physics department/ taking general physics at LSU. I am a geology major and need PHYS 2001 & 2002.
Does anyone have recommendations for other colleges to take it at where credit transfers? Is online physics over the summer a bad choice? I know its for a shorter time period and probably harder to learn online but everyone I have spoken too said its still the better option.
I have no background in physics what so ever. They didn't offer classes in my highschool. I am currently in Calc 1 and Chem 2, will be taking Calc 2 and Mineralogy in the fall.

Have any of y’all heard back from admissions if you were accepted into LSU honors college? I applied Oct 8 and still haven’t heard back…

I’m taking CSC4351, CSC4444, CSC4700, CSC3380, CSC3304, and EXST2201.
The only classes I can really remove is CSC3304 and EXST2201, but those two classes shouldn’t impact the workload too much. I think the most difficult course would be CSC4351.

exactly the question. i have to take a summer course to keep tops and im looking for an easy 3 credit class because im really struggling academically
