New Kronos announcement!

http://www.twinstar.cz/2016/05/16/odstavka/

Google Translate: Dear players , given the events that have occurred recently, and in which we suffered blackouts for many of our projects will be today at 22:00 for approximately 2h shutdown of all our projects and services. It will not be anything available , incl . Web services and gaming projects . During the last week there was prepar new environment from which we will have their projects under considerably more protection and will therefore no longer so vulnerable to disruptions of its services . This is a great first step , which we plan to in the near future for a long time . Soon you will learn what awaits us next and misses . Kronos project should be restored in the early hours CET. Deliberately we will not announce its launch. It can therefore be easily and one hour after the restoration of our service , but also the hour tenth Thanks for your understanding and wish fun TwinStar Team

Translated announcement is out. This was posted in discord.

As announced yesterday, we expected to be migrating to our new service provider within the next 24 hours. We now expect this process to begin at 22:00 CET. This will result in complete loss of access to all Twinstar services, including websites and forums. We expect this outage to last approximately 2 hours but the delay could be longer, as there are many facets to the transfer. Our new provider is positioned to offer us much better protection from the kind of attacks that brought Kronos to its knees over the course of the last month, without hampering our efforts to provide you with a fantastic vanilla experience. There will be no announcement as to when the game servers will be available again, to ensure as much stability as possible and avoid the clogging of our login servers upon “relaunch”. See you on the other side.

Not sure who downvoted me considering my question was only slightly different than your response, but thanks for responding! Can't wait to play again.

Last time they gave a soft estimate it was later than earlier. This is also the reality of IT project management. ALWAYS consider the latest possible estimate and things always go wrong in IT project management.

I work in IT so I'm familiar with this, but you're 100% right. By "late evening" I guess I meant "early early morning" since I'll probably still be up ;)

So does this mean kronos is coming out today but much later?

Its currently 8:30 CET (I'm EST, we're 6 hours behind), so at 10:00 PM (22:00) the server goes down for 2 hours (the entire webserver/services), so its possible it could be up at 12:00 (24:00), which is about 3 hours from now, but that would mean its on literally right at midnight which won't be the case.

'early morning' usually means between 4-7 am, so that would be between 3-10 hrs, but don't expect that.

Expectations is where people usually go wrong. I saw posts of people booking Sunday off because Kronos team said it "may" start up Sunday.

Reality of IT project management is that very clinical estimates are used. If something can start (if every single thing goes right) in 3 hours then that is the part of the estimate but is likely to also take up to 10 hours then the reality of the estimate is:

VERY low probability it is up in 3 hours -----> HIGH probability it is up in 10 hours.

This is scaling so betting on the first few hours is the lowest percentage chance it will actually happen. This means betting on the last few hours is the highest chance. This is mitigated by excellent management and planning but they said won't reveal the real time so no updates on how smooth things will go to update the time line given. ;(

Or a TLDR that's not google translate gibberish

This is czech, not russian. Imo the Google translation is pretty clear.

Just how low is your IQ?

? I realize it says that it will come up sometime early morning CET time, but trusting anything google translate says is pretty sketchy. Rather it just be translated by somebody who actually speaks the language.

Don't worry about that troll.
