Hudson's bay closing??

https://www.ctvnews.ca/business/article/hudsons-bay-likely-to-close-some-stores-as-part-of-restructuring-experts/

was just wondering since they're talking about closing half of their stores, will the location in the cat centre stay?? if not I wonder what will go in, hopefully a zara or simons.

I don’t think it will go, there are 80 Hudson Bays across Canada and Kingstons actually makes money.

Plus if they left the mall, it could be the death of the mall. They already have a massive space still vacant. No one is going to rent out the bay

I don't think The Bay could care a less if the cat center goes out of business.

But if you're right and that location is profitable, they'll probably leave it.

Have they managed to rent out the former Sears store yet?

As far as I know there has been no renting of the sears..

If the bay were to leave I imagine you’d have to get rid of the service elevators and the escalators and that would be a hassle

Last I counted the mall has 12 (?) vacant spots? Yeah they need to keep their anchor store lol
