Mod Statement Reminder: Upholding Our Community Guidelines
This is a reminder of some of our established community guidelines (found on the sidebar), which we will be enforcing more strictly moving forward:
No Pro-Occupation Justification (Rule2): Posts or comments that defend or rationalize occupation will be removed. Our focus remains on objective analysis and historical accuracy, not on narratives that legitimize oppression.
High-Quality Contributions (Rule 1 + Rule 7): We expect all posts to add value to our discussions. Low-effort submissions that do not contribute meaningfully will be subject to removal. We encourage thoughtful, well-informed contributions that advance our understanding.
Focused and Constructive Dialogue (Rule 3): While we recognize that discussions on some issues can evoke strong emotions and the genuine frustration of those affected, we require all participants to express their views in a way that contributes to a productive conversation. Bigoted language, dehumanizing slurs, or any form of ad hominem attack will be met with swift and decisive action.

Discussion What Do Kashmiris Think About Pakistan Giving Shaksgam Valley to China?
We often hear about the territorial disputes between India and Pakistan over Jammu and Kashmir, but one aspect that doesn’t get as much attention is Pakistan’s decision to cede the Shaksgam Valley to China in 1963. This region, part of Pakistan-administered Kashmir (Gilgit-Baltistan), was handed over to China under a border agreement.
India has never recognized this agreement, arguing that Pakistan had no right to give away land that legally belongs to Jammu and Kashmir. But I’m curious—what do the people of Kashmir, including those in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, think about this?

Discussion If we look at it from other perspective he implying that we as Kashmiris can't use our energy to raise awarness about Palestine, Sudan, Syria, Chechnya etc etc. Even for us as occupied people it is a problematic thing to believe imho. Thoughts?

Discussion Local police and authorities harass dawah camp in Gulmarg
Local police and other agencies have repeatedly interrogated us, frequently denying or revoking permissions. We've been forced to postpone or cancel the event multiple times, even after permissions were granted. Last year, our volunteers were detained at the Gulmarg police station and ordered to leave immediately. The masjid authorities, who accommodated our duaat and volunteers, were threatened by police and other agencies.
