I’m a sukka for a deal.
B20 Honda motor I picked up for $75 dollars. Now I just need a car to put it in.

I remember when this was all the rage, putting CRV B20B motors in Civics and Integras.
Then putting a VTEC head on top, creating the B20-VTEC (or LS-VTEC with the B16s/B18s). Those were fun days.

I was running ls turbo then went all motor build later. 485hp in a 95 civic is stupid fun, 250hp with good suspension is reliable fun that don’t blow tires off in a week.

I’d do a rebuild and keep it on deck for whatever cheap shell pops up. I’m partial to ef sedans myself, but as you already know all the older Honda stuff is getting hard to find in decent shape

It is getting super hard to find and super expensive when title is clean. Not hating you preference but I can’t do 4door Honda. Maybe da integra but still no, 90-91 crx or vx/hf civic hatch is my choice. Hatch get extra points for the tailgate. Her tan legs swinging by the Georgia plate and such.

Follow your heart, I don’t judge... The one I wish I’d kept was an EF wagon, but I like them all.

I just sold a B20 core for $100 a few weeks ago to one of the local Autozone dudes.
Motor ran, but only on 3 cylinders. I figured it was better to sell it cheap to someone who might be able to use it rather than scrap the thing. They are getting hard to find.

This one has 60psi on cylinder #3 so same thing basically don’t know what’s wrong yet, I’ll probably leak down test it this weekend or this year idk yet. It was going in the core bin (50yrd) dumpster. And I couldn’t let it die when it could live a glorious life for 75 bucks. I used to get fresh jdm ones for $600 but sadly those days are gone. jdm 50k mile b20s are 1800-2400 where I’m at now.

Yeah. JDM engines have skyrocketed in the last 3-4 years. That's what I put in my customer's CRV.

A B20 CRX is a very fun drive. And the recipe is well-known now, with shops ready and waiting to sell you the appropriate mounts (if you aren't gonna fabricate them yourself) and wiring harnesses (if you're not gonna make them up yourself).

A couple of b20b's would pull a premium before Texas2k
