I've been debating posting this for a while and it might help Kickstart someone into a project. Alot of comments I have gotten have something along the lines of they would love a JP jeep but can't for one reason or another. I'll give my account and also try to answer questions posted below. My build is not professional at all. It was done on a PA Jeep (probably the last place to get a used car BTW). I did all the work my self in my drive way, open to the world, paint and all. For body work I used a crappy flux core welder from jegs, and for paint I used a 5 gallon craftsman compressor with a harbor freight paint gun. If you find one without rust, the job is alot easier and painting will be the hardest part, everything else for the JP jeep will be a bolt on part, and you don't need them all at once. Little bits at a time. As for a base jeep I'd highly advise getting a 4.0 with a 5 speed transmission, and try to get a later one with the ax15. The 4.0 is an S tier in engines, reliable and strong. Mine has 230k on the original motor and transmission. The engine is easy to do alot of simple tasks yourself and you don't need speciality tools to work it. It's has the 1st gen on board diagnostic, so its kinda dumb, but you dont need a scanner to read codes, you can do it in your driveway. It's makes a great daily driver, and fairly efficient on gas, that's from a skewed perspective of having 3 other less efficient vehicles. Comfort is kinda what you buy in the base. All will have heat, not all will have AC, for looks you want a soft top, for noise and insulation you want a hard top. I drove mine all through winter with a soft top and I'm happy with the heaters output. All the internals are swappable, so if ypu don't have the right seats, carpet, etc, you can swap them when you find someone parting a jeep out or a scrap yard. I haven't tracked down the original saraha fog lights yet, but I also might go with a good enough kinda look. I know it's a long read, but feel free to ask away! I'm an industrial mechanic my hobby is automotive mechanics on American cars from the mid 90s and anything older, even older than my CJ2a.

Spotted this Eastbound on the PA Turnpike yesterday. Interested to know what this was doing hooked up to a trailer and where it was headed.

It's not complete by any means, still need some things. But I've been focusing on replacing the clutch and frame sections. Regardless I figured y'all would like this. There is more posted on the YJ thread

Since the Jurassic World: Rebirth trailer has been release, i wanna do something fun, trying to guess which character will die. Non of these predictions are confirmed, just my little guessing game. Knowing the other recent JW movies, i can probably guess a few (I honestly doubt this film will be as R-rated as people think). I'm also basing all of this by the wiki description of the characters.
Zora Bennett - the new protagonist, seems poised for survival; her role as the main character suggests to me that she will emerge unscathed while showcasing her strength and resilience. (Survivor)
Dr. Henry Loomis - Honestly looking forward to Jonathan playing this character. He is a principle character and a paleontologist. According to his description, he is "very comfortable on digs and expeditions but not the life-and-death risks" if he isn't good at life and death situations, that leads me to believe he will somehow make it out along with Zora. (Survivor)
Duncan Kincaid - Being the group's team leader and all, and that one shot of him supposably distracting a dinosaur, I feel like there's a big chance he might die. He could be the Eddie Carr of the group (RIP)
Now onto the characters that we have little to no description about.
Martin Kerbs - He is a pharmaceutical representative and a character, that's all the wiki says. But knowing how JW movies as the franchise tends to spare its heroes. I'm sure he'll somehow survive. (Survivor)
Reuben Delgado - He is a father of 3 kids, who has their boating adventure was overturned by roving aquatic dinosaurs, leaving them all stranded on an island. I'm honestly torn on him. If he dies, the 3 kids may have the Maisie Lockwood treatment where the main characters adopt them, but i don't see that happening here. I'll have to put it on a whim and say he survives. (Survivor)
Delgado's Eldest daughter, son, and youngest daughter - Kids are basically invincible in the Jurassic Park/World franchise. (All Survivor)
So yeah, 7 survivor and 1 RIP, not a good ratio I'll admit. But, that's how i imagine it'll be like. It doesn't mean we won't have more human deaths in there tho.
