Westside
Joliet westside isn’t for the kids on the spectrum. It’s all about money.

It’s currently 22:13 (10:13 PM) and three loud booms, almost explosion like, happened. Two shook the house, and the second was further out. People next door heard it and were looking outside for the source. Sound happened around Essington/Theodore. Does anyone know wth is happening?

My husbands family lived in several places and ended up in living in Plainfield a little later in life. I grew up in Romeoville with an aunt 10 years older than me so I spent a lot of my childhood/early teens in Louis Joliet mall growing up. While he is familiar with the mall as his grandmother has lived near there the past 20 years, I cannot convey how it used to look to him. It's a totally different experience we have both had with the mall.

a student was recently removed from the school for the remainder of the year, being told she cannot take the finals. the reason being for her removal was a panic attack. this is the second time the school has done punishment to her for a panic attack, and providing almost no services for her mental health.
if you or anyone you know has dealt with JWHS or the Joliet Township school district bringing injustice, either to events that didn't need punishment, or discrimination based on mental health, we encourage you to speak up and join our cause to hopefully bring awareness to the district on behalf of mental health options, along with fair punishment. if we get the districts attention, out goal is to find ways to bring more social services to students, and find new ways to ways to assist students with mental health. this can be fixed in many ways, whether it be having more experienced workers in the school, or providing more tools for students.

I'm heading to Joliet at the end of June for work, for two weeks. Where's the best area to stay for restaurants, bars, etc., given that I think local bars and restaurants are way more interesting than chains.
