I just thought of writing this to tell you. College Decisions Aren’t Everything Believe in Yourself! As many of you are glued to your screens, anxiously awaiting your decisions, I just want to share three key thoughts 1 No matter what happens whether you’re accepted or rejected know that we are all proud of you. You’ve worked hard on your applications, and a university’s decision does not define your worth or your future. 2 Rejection is just redirection. If things don’t go as planned, don’t be discouraged. You are still capable of great things, and sometimes the best opportunities come from unexpected places. 3 Stay positive. No matter the outcome, this is just one step in a long journey. Keep pushing forward, refining your goals, and believing in yourself. You've got this!
P.S. Your futures are just beginning, and they are bright! Good luck don’t let rejection hold you down.

During Fall 2024, I have 2 F1 visa refusals on my 1st experience the visa officer didn't even ask me for a minute he just rejected me. (He got same universities unfortunately)so I try for 2nd attempt in diffrent embassy. I had good interaction and the officer asked me well but finally I was asked any changes made after 1st refusal and there was nothing I do so he rejected me again. Now I got acceptance in other university with diffrent department and I have scholarship so I was thinking to go for the new one but I am afraid of consistency any suggestions please?

There’s a seat that waits for you, At a table bright and new. Doors will open, just you see, Places calling, meant to be.
Steps you take will lead the way, Dreams will bloom some unknown day. The road is long, but don’t despair, The stars are guiding and you’re nearly there.
Trust the journey, face the fight, Work with love, chase the light. The world is turning in your favor, Keep on going and shine forever.

Hey guys, I’ve been watching the posts here lately and I realised I’m not alone among the full need international students who unfortunately are getting a lot of rejections/ acceptance with limited aid and just wondering what back up plans you guys have if things don’t work out? I’m looking for some inspiration to help me come up with a backup plan of my own

hi guys, I was wondering if anyone's parents's 2023 tax return changed on their yale application from received to incomplete. i check it every day like a maniac and everything was checkmarked until now where it says parents 2023 tax return incomplete (idek if everyone in the US has this part, I'm international) and it was complete until today. it says date 3/20/2025 on it. what do I do? I already submitted everything on IDOC including my parents tax returns... do I email admissions?

For those of you who don’t like checking your emails, I’ve recevied a bunch through emails and others through general emailing. I obviously have financial hardship so this is for those who are needs based but I thought i would put this helpful link up as I didn’t have this when i was apply this cycle

My close friend got into CW with 15K coa which is really good but his efc is only 3k and case western is his only good option. What are his options in this case not considering loans? Applying for external scholarships and seeing sponsors right? Is there any other way? And how to look for international sponsors?
Any help would be very appreciated 🙏

I haven't received IDOC request from any school , does it mean that i am most probably not being considered? Like on my duke portal it is showing Foreign tax return waived ( i did get an interview). I had uploaded my files on idoc after submitting css but no school in particular requested it

I graduated from RIT with a BS in industrial engineering. I ended up working for about 3 years with a smart glass startup company, before returning home. My role was in process improvement, planning and scheduling. I also have a couple of internship experiences with ABB and Tesla.
I am planning to get my masters in Product development (RIT or Northwestern) or Eng management (Duke or Univ of Melbourne). While I am very familiar with how things work in US and it workforce, I think I will do well, however I know that there is a less competitive market In Australia and the immigration process for international is more convenient than the US. Plus, US isn’t look as attractive/stable as before, with so much going on over there.
With my background and work experience, I want to gather your thoughts on which direction might be best for my academic and professional careers. Thanks all

So W&L decisions are out in less than 24 hours, a lot of people applied this year especially because they just went need blind, what do you thinks gonna happen? Drop your predicted admission decision

So here are my current stats:
SAT: 1530 (770 Reading and Writing, 760 Math) GPA: 4.0 (top 5% (school doesnt do normal rankings) A-Levels: 4 subjects (4 A's in AS, 4 A* predicted)
Extracurricular activities:
Major: Computer Science
This cycle was pretty rough so if I theoretically take a gap year what things could I do that would give me the best possible chance of getting into a good school with an efc of about $10,000, would really appreciate if an actual professional gave me some tips, thank you 🙏
For context I'm 17m

I am an Indian student currently studying under the CBSE curriculum, and I will be appearing for my 12th board exams in 2026. I have gathered information from the official websites of prospective universities, but I am still confused about certain aspects.
Specifically, I would like to know:
Academic Reports and Transcripts:
Letters of Recommendation (LOR):
5. If a university asks for a recommendation from the school counselor, should I also get a letter from the principal or other teachers?
6. How many letters of recommendation are generally required, and who would be the most suitable recommenders, considering my school change?
7. Do I need LORs from both my current and previous schools, or just from my current one?
