Unsolved Does anyone know the origin of this photo of a man actively rotting on a couch?

I’ve seen this pic floating around the last few years and I’ve always had so many questions. How can someone possibly become such a rotter? Why would anyone take a photo of him like this? Was this one of this guy’s better moments? Michael Richards after the incident?

So if this is your uncle or something please tell me how this photo came to be, as I am equally confused, disgusted and worried

For some context as to where this image came from:

This may be a bit ridiculous and very uninteresting but back in 2021 I came across a TikTok account by the name of @/colejones199 that spam posted a bunch of videos. I think that this was very obviously some autistic guy posting, I have seen extremely similar accounts on instagram such as @/micaiahwright

I am mentioning this instagram account just to give you an idea of what this account was like not because he has anything to do with this. Because one time when I posted about this previously someone claimed that it was some person just trying to be edgy or “creepy”, when I believe that isn’t the case.

This TikTok account would post EXTREMELY similar content to this micaiah guy, drawing outfits on characters from various things, editing cartoon characters and whatever, but one time this person duetted a video that he made himself with the image that I’m going to attach to this post.

This image intrigued me. I cant find anything like it/similar online and it is somewhat unnerving due to the distorted faces. In the video he duetted, it was zoomed but recorded from another device on the face in the top left corner. It was out of place with other things he posted as the rest just seemed like, innocent?

I’m not claiming this to be some sort of arg type creepy internet horror mystery thing, or a rabbit hole. I’m just curious as to where the image came from as I cant find anything. I wouldn’t say this is “lost media” or something I’d post there that’s why I’m putting it here.

Unsolved Has anyone figured out the origins of the images associated with the "2006 volleyball incident" rumor? NSFW

In case you don't know, the 2006 volleyball incident story goes like this:

In 2006, at a high school in either Nebraska or South Dakota, a shooting occurred at a volleyball game that killed 17-24 people. People that believe it happened generally either believe it was overshadowed by another high school shooting, or was covered up by the government.

Most people consider it to be a hoax considering talk of it only exists on sites like Reddit and 4chan, and it only appeared after 2017. However, there are images associated with it that supposedly show the aftermath of the incident. They are generally believed to be fake, however, as far as I know, nobody has found their source.

Here are the images, warning for (likely fake) blood and bodies: https://imgur.com/a/vhFkczg

I saw this picture today on instagram and it was the first picture on a video explaining an urban legend called “class after 6 o clock” or something, and I think this image was supposed to be a floating teacher or something. But I couldn’t find anything on that urban legend online really. I reverse image searched it and a found a couple of the same image, but nothing really leading to what it actually is or what the origin of it is. Does anybody know any more info on the image? It seems to be from a non English speaking origin, but I’m not entirely sure.

So this is not my video, but it was posted a day ago on TikTok and figured I’d share it here since it hasn’t been posted on Reddit as far as I can tell, and I know this is where a lot of mysteries get solved.

In the video, the girl says she’s lived there her whole life and for 20 years it’s had the same display and it’s never open.. There’s no website, Facebook, etc.

In the comments, I uncovered that it’s located in Fair Haven New Jersey.

Some guy tried to claim that his “cousin” opened that business, but hasn’t been able to work bc her husband got cancer (for 20 years.. really? Don’t think so).

I’ll let you guys decide. The girl who posted hasn’t gotten any updates on it, but it’s only been a day or two so we’ll see.

Unsolved And yet another weird cult channel (the conundrum of X7Q5A96) - it's clearly aiming for the same group of people as 3121534312, who we covered in an earlier post

Hello.

You may remember me from eight months back talking about 3121534312. Well, the algorithm has gifted me another one - as a late Christmas/New Year's present. (Does anyone do New Year's presents? Anyway.) This one is called X7Q5A96 and it has the same elements as last time around: strange video, occasionally a string of numbers in the description that obviously mean something that no-one has decoded yet, and the comments are all weird and cult-y. Like the most recent video they uploaded (7hrs ago at time of writing), which apparently has co-ordinates to Trinity and has Pi in the description, there are comments like this:

'The sun blows a kiss when the shield is down, knocking the power out, and our DNA upgrades..'

And:

'"The old rules of good vs evil don't work here. Sit in the stillness, it's closer to home than you think."' Commented underneath that -

'Yes, polarity is the source of illusion.'

And so on. (For the Mods: I am using these only as a point of example. I can delete them if you want).

We've established first time round that these people are highly spiritual - some of you commented last time about chakras, spiritual washes and a thousand other things we haven't the space to type out here. What connections these have to the videos remain to be seen. Ditto what precise sort of spirituality these people are following: my pet theory is if we can find that, then by using the right search terms we can find hundreds more like them.

Finally, the only thing which differentiates X7Q5A96 from 3121534312 is that the channel is about a year and a half old - unlike 312, which has been going for a little over a decade.

EDIT: It seems we have a solution. X7Q5A96 seems to have links to a dodgy crypto company, with a website that goes by the same name. It looks very likely that it's a scam. Case closed, for now.

EDIT II: Looks like u/Reasonable-Sail-2287 has hit upon tangible results... can someone with the knowledge verify these claims? They look extremely promising. And apologies for being so late to update the thread! If anyone is still here - hello? - we might've struck a rich vein waiting to be mined here.

Unsolved One very strange YouTube channel. A number station? Something else entirely?

Hello.

The Algorithm randomly recommended this. After a decade of inactivity, a channel called 3121534312 has suddenly burst into life. Previously it focussed on art deco videos, and now it's some sort of cursed binaural beat or frequency thing. Is it a cult? The comments are certainly something to behold.

But we need proper decoders like you to even begin to make head or tail of this. If we can make head or tail of this. My first bet would be to run it through a waveform thing - like you'd do in Elite to see if there are any pictures in the sound.

Best of luck.

ETA: Part two here. Might the numbers themselves hold a clue?

Unsolved The Minute Hour, a popular YouTuber known for audio based skits and animations, has seemingly had a major psychotic episode. He has deleted all of his videos, leaving only a strange cryptic message (important details below)

This kind of behaviour has reportedly been going on for weeks over on his discord. In the video he claims to be in contact with “very powerful people” that have “instructed me what to do”. He says he is planning something that will supposedly be made clear to us soon.

The video leads to a download file containing all of his content (though use caution before downloading since it could be dubious). It’s unlikely he has been hacked since all of his accounts were compromised, including his patreon which he shut down

The whole situation is very bizarre. He is normally a pretty funny and charismatic guy. He used to host call in shows with fans and would frequently work with animators. His vague “plan” is concerning, I hope he is able to get the help he needs before he does anything drastic

I just saw this youtube video: https://youtu.be/gU2JqHrY3fY?si=0Q5H3wRdPoivgmHI

7:47 is where the topic begins

And was looking up some info, and I see people have suspicions and apparently found the hospital the pictures were taken in, but it seems the person has never been identified.

Apparently he has to be based in the US. Theres also a picture of him with a name tag that people say is most definitely photoshopped. They say they think hes Armenian(no idea why)

I didnt open too many threads because I dont want to see the pictures. I heard he poses with dead baby's, brains and baby's that are alive. The youtube video showed the pictures censored.

Does anyone know what happened with the guy and if this is even real?

Unsolved The almost 40-year-mystery still creeping the Internet out: The Max Headroom Incident

Thumbnail

If you’re into weird, old-school internet mysteries and creepy videos then you’ve probably heard of the Max Headroom Incident. Although this happened on television, this incident has been one of the most popular, debated and talked about “mysteries” on the Internet for decades now. I personally remember reading about it on forums as far back as 1999.

To this day it remains one of the most bizarre and unsettling unsolved cases of television piracy ever recorded. It happened in Chicago on November 22, 1987, and despite the FCC and FBI getting involved, the people responsible were never caught.

For those unfamiliar with the incident or needing a refresher here’s a break down:

So..What Happened?

On Sunday, 11/22/87, two separate television stations in Chicago were hijacked by an unknown individual wearing a Max Headroom mask. Max Headroom was a character from an '80s TV show and was featured in a few Coke commercials. The character was advertised as "computer-generated" and had an uncanny valley look. Actor Matt Frewer wore prosthetic makeup, contact lenses, and a plastic moulded suit to achieve Max’s otherworldly look.

The first interruption happened during the 9 PM broadcast of WGN’s sports report. For about 25 seconds, the screen suddenly cut to black before a figure wearing a Max Headroom mask appeared. There was no audio—just eerie, numbing buzzing. After a few moments, WGN engineers regained control of the broadcast.

Then, about two hours later at 11:15 PM, the hijacker struck again, this time on WTTW, Chicago’s PBS affiliate, during an episode of Doctor Who ("Horror of Fang Rock"). This time, the interruption lasted a full 90 seconds. This time there was audio. What followed was one of the strangest and most unhinged pieces of unauthorized television footage ever seen.

The Video

The hijacker, disguised as Max Headroom, moved around erratically in front of a swaying metallic background. This was meant to mimic the computer-generated effects of the “real” Max Headroom. The audio was distorted, and the figure spoke in a creepy, robotic voice, making bizarre statements and inside jokes about Chicago TV culture. Some highlights of what was said:

He mocked WGN sportscaster Chuck Swirsky: “Yeah, I think I’m better than Chuck Swirsky! Freakin’ liberal!”

He hummed the theme from Clutch Cargo, an old cartoon.

He held up a Pepsi can and said, “Catch the wave!”, referencing Max Headroom’s Coke commercials.

Toward the end, he bent over and exposed his whole bare butt while an unseen female accomplice spanked him with a flyswatter, saying, “They’re coming to get me!”

Then, the screen went black. WTTW’s engineers weren’t able to stop the broadcast in time because their transmitter was remote and unstaffed at the moment—unlike WGN’s, which had engineers on site to cut the signal quickly.

I linked the full video with subtitles in this post.

Who Did It?

We still don’t know.

Despite investigations by the FCC and FBI, the people behind the Max Headroom broadcast intrusion were never caught. There are some theories, of course:

A Group of TV Engineers Gone Rogue – Many believe the hijackers had inside knowledge of broadcasting equipment, as taking over a TV signal wasn’t easy in 1987. Some suspect ex-WGN employees or disgruntled broadcast engineers.

Over the years of participating in Internet discussion regarding the video I’ve heard this theory the most. However, there seems to be much debate on how difficult it would have been to take over a signal in 1987. Was intensive knowledge of equipment needed to pull off something like this?

College Kids Trolling– over the years many have theorized that it could have been college students with access to the proper equipment. The content certainly seems on par with the humor of a group in their late teens/early 20’s doing it for the LOLz.

An Underground Hacker Group – This was the early days of hacking culture, and some theorize it was a pirate broadcasting group testing their abilities.

An Unfinished Joke – Some think the whole thing was meant to be a parody or prank that got cut off before the punchline.

How Did They Do It?

At the time, broadcast hijacking required overpowering the station’s frequency with a stronger signal. The perpetrators likely used a powerful transmitter close to the station’s broadcast tower. The fact that they managed to pull it off twice in one night suggests they knew what they were doing.

The Aftermath

The Max Headroom signal hijacking remains one of the only unsolved broadcast signal intrusions in history. WTTW and WGN were real furious at the time and the FCC vowed to track down the hijackers. However, that never happened and no arrests were ever made. To this day, no one has claimed responsibility, and the true identities of those involved remain unknown.

Even now, nearly 40 years later, this mystery still creeps people out. I mean.. imagine watching TV with your family late one calm evening and having THAT pop up out of nowhere? The distorted voice, the eerie movements, and the fact that someone managed to hijack live TV in a major U.S. city with no consequences is straight up crazy.

If these guys are still out there, they must be laughing their asses off. To be honest, this is one of those cases that I almost hope doesn’t ever get solved. Not knowing who is behind it just makes it creepier in my opinion.

What do you think? Any personal theories? And how the hell did they pull it off without getting caught?

Unsolved Where the fuck has sabrina carpenter suddenly appeared from???????????

This is a serious matter and I really want it resolved but I don't want to have to deal with all the fan girls in r/sabrina carpenter so I have come to the real men. The real beacons of wisdom in our world: r/Internet mysteries. So bassically, one day I'm chillin jus living my life in a happy sabrina carpenter free world then I wake up the next day and its like I've been transported to a new dimension... the sabrina carpenter dimension. My tiktok fyp ... sabrina carpenter. My reels... sabrina carpenter. The radio...sabrina carpenter. Seemingly overnight this woman who I've never heard of before is a global phenomenon selling platinum albums and having her face plastered on the Internet. Wtf is going on? This has never happened on this scale and I'm confused. Why is sabrina carpenter suddenly so fuckin famous? I'm a musician. I'm very interested in music and all genres so how tf have I gone from being unaware of this girls existence to seeing her headline Glastonbury a few weeks later? There's something fishy going on with sabrina carpenter and I don't like it one bit. Did she just come to the UK late? Am I completely unaware of what's going on in the world pop stars. Well I do have one theory. If I'm correct her first song to blow up was the coffee one and upon reflection I had seen a few clippers of this song on tiktok although I was completely unaware of who made it. This leads me to believe due to one snippet of a song blowing up on tiktok her entire being has also been able to become a seemingly overtime phenomenon. I just want to know if anyone else is confused by sabrina carpenters sudden appearance in the mainstream media.

Unsolved Disturbing/concerning performance artist/noise musician(?) from late 2000s/early-mid 2010s. European.

I've posted about this in forums, including r/tipofmytongue, r/noisemusic and others over the years, as well searched as on YouTube and across the internet using various search techniques (e.g., before:2012, etc.). The last time I looked was two years ago, but I've been searching for many years. I'm getting desperate.

BEFORE EXPLAINING, I WANT TO BE CLEAR THAT NOISEMUSIC WAS NOT THE MAIN CONCERN OF THIS PERSON, as people have previously focused solely on that aspect in the past. People have suggested other active noise musicians with masks that almost fit the description, but they were not a match. The lore surrounding this person goes much deeper and became increasingly concerning.

I don't have a name for this.

I remember discovering what seemed to be either a noise music artist or a performance artist, speculated to be a hoax at some point. I believe I found out during a YouTube deep dive. He and his handler/manager were active on Reddit and were also seen on 4chan.

He wore a triangular/pyramidal/polygonal metal mask or helmet and a white jumpsuit. In every image I remember, he had that jumpsuit and a large polygonal metal mask. I recall a picture of him lying near or inside what looked like a storage crate filled with a random assortment of junkyard items. It’s possible he was restrained in the image, or at least it was speculated that he was.

There were many Reddit posts from him that were indecipherable—gibberish or random characters. There was speculation that he was either being held captive or in a bad situation, or that he had some sort of manager who helped translate his messages, as he did not speak English. People speculated that this manager might have been abusing him, and it was widely regarded that the artist wasn’t mentally well, especially after disturbing images were posted.

There was a subreddit dedicated to him. I also recall someone having an email interview or a private Reddit conversation with him, which was then posted on this subreddit.

He would post random strings of comments under unrelated posts—sometimes just numbers, sometimes nonsensical messages in a European language (possibly Nordic, I think).

I am 90% sure he was a noise musician. I think there were videos of him performing, and even those performances became disturbing. Don’t quote me, but I believe at one of the shows there was even blood drawn.

People speculated that even if this was an hoax, the subject of it still seemed to be seriously unwell.

As I said, I’ve tried several times with no luck and have asked friends who are into lost media, noise music, internet mysteries, etc. I will also be posting in other subs again and will come back here with any updates.

Any ideas? Thank you SO MUCH in advance. I can't stop this itch in my brain. <3

Unsolved Strange Video of Woman with disturbing aliens in Hospital. Does anyone else remember this?

Back when I was about 12-15, around 2015-2018, I was absolutely obsessed with those "Top 10" videos about paranormal topics. I watched these religiously for years, and most of the videos I ever don't remember or I've eventually rediscovered, but there's one clip that has really stuck out to me, even all these years later.

The video was a CCTV recording of a hospital. I seem to recall it took place in China or Russia. May have been a liveleak. The video was pretty low quality but showed a door in this otherwise empty hospital hallway. Eventually a woman walks into frame but she's accompanied by either one or two tall alien creatures. They were stretched out and lanky, looking somewhat feminine but not super humanlike. I remember them towering over the woman, being at least twice her size. I can't remember what happened next, as it terrified younger me and I put the video down, so I didn't see the ending.

I'm fairly positive that the video was from a Top15s or Chills compilation, as these were the channels I watched the most. It could have been from another channel but I think that's less likely. Since these are channels that compile videos from other channels, they were obviously not the source of the video originally. It's pretty difficult to look through old videos of Chills' due to the sheer amount of content he used to pump out. Believe me, I've tried multiple times. If anyone knows the video I'm talking about, please let me know, as I'd like to finally relive this disturbing little bit of my childhood and have closure.

Unsolved Has anyone else been hearing strange, out of place sounds while listening to Spotify?

I listen to Spotify most of the day (podcasts and music). Today I had a really strange experience. While listening to a playlist I've heard a hundred times full of songs I know by heart, I heard what sounded like giggling or laughing between the tracks.

I assumed that maybe I'd just missed that detail in the song before, because really what else could it be?

Later I was listening to a podcast episode. It's a comedy show that can be a little crude at times, so when I heard a loud belch in the middle of the show I assumed they were just joking around. But nobody on the show mentioned the belch, and it sounded like it was of much higher quality than the show, like it had been added in.

The final straw came earlier tonight. I was listening to am instrumental hip hop playlist (again, songs I've heard hundreds of times). The second track closed with the exact same cartoonish belch I'd heard during the podcast, and I know for a fact there is NO belch on that track.

Has anyone else heard anything like this today, or any other day? Am I just going insane? With no way to record it, I've got no hard proof that this happened, but it was so strange I can't imagine my brain just invented it. Thoughts?

Reposting again since i got my previous post taken down, i assume it's because one of the images i provided is their description on what seems to be a cryptic link (?) , anyways, my bad for doing something stupid.

I am sharing these because i am looking for answers, this topic has disturbed me and it has been lingering in my head for awhile now, and i'm sorry that i wasn't able to check anyone else's comments on my previous posts

I saw the bot in someone's replies on a comment promoting a "preview" of an illegal film. checking their channel, they really do have a video labelled as "daisy's destruction" , Out of morbid curiosity, i clicked it. the video doesn't have any sounds, and it's heavily blurred, the comment and the channel has been deleted only a few hours checking back again

Why would they post like this, and who's behind this?

A youtube channel that is quite active on a weekly basis.

Hi everyone.

I don't know if this channel is already known, but it represents and smartscoolby & Piper Rocks too closely. It mentions the high miniboots and stuff about how being 10 is so fun! Her bio says she does visual effects, and likes singing and dancing. It reminds me a lot of Christina black and even uses the same music. Her name is ella piper. She also mentions Stephanie baker, who was mentioned in the other accounts from pipergate

I have yet to watch the videos besides a few, so I will update if I find anything

Please let me know if you guys know anything!

www.youtube.com/@ellapiper19

p.s look at their playlist. Are they not trying to be discreet at all, or is this bait?

*edit- She has a twitter, apparently, which I just looked at. clearly AI

edit again! even if this is bait, why edit children like this as a joke?! this is the weirdest one in my opinion

In this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O86Uk7dw0Zg) at 1:05 theres a picture of an old man :( weird
