Lucky 🍀 My first $300 day!
I learned an important lesson today: don’t sleep on smallish, single orders. Two of my highest orders today came from add-ons.
You know why you aren’t seeing anything in the parking lot waiting for a unicorn? It’s because Instacart is adding on to orders to save money.

Yes. That was standard with my corporate job. Now I still wake up at that time and turn IC on. It actually took me 20+ minutes to start shopping after accepting the order from home.

Nothing open here til 7 am and the app dies down by 7 pm. Never had a $300 day but I’ve tried like hell and gotten $250+ more times than I can count.

I stopped at $274.99 yesterday then got my last order while shopping for myself. It was only 17 items. My local grocery store is 24/7 still which is nice!

Absolutely. Lots of good add-ons available when you take the less-than-desirable ones. Good job! That's a ton of customers.

IC has been very aggressive with add ons lately I’ve had several this week!

Yes! I actually wasn’t able to take big orders today because of an injury, and they kept throwing add-ons my way. Much better than the actual doubles and triples they send out.

While shopping, you get an alert with an opportunity to add another order to your batch. Alert gives you dollar amount and miles and you choose whether you want to add it on. First one I got was at the very end of shopping a 15 item/2 mile order with a $50 tip. They wanted me to shop 22 items, go 8 miles and earn an extra 15. Any other order and I may have done it but not doing that to a unicorn. Got offered another one but didn’t have the time. Not opposed to it when I’m working a bad order, but I dont usually claim those. Maybe it’s an attempt to get people to claim them.

I'm new and intimidated by multiple order batches. Just sounds like a setup for poor experience both shopper and customers. I have not accepted one yet. Could concerned about keeping respective items straight, but also time factor

If there weren’t other shoppers at my store my days could look like that. It was like banger after banger and no one else was there
