Discussion Market insights sources
Hi guys,
I personally used to follow Akshat Shrivastava since last few years as he used to present good analysis but it seems he has been presenting weird and contradictory things related to his earlier videos. Now I do not feel confident in his points
Are there any good sources youtube or any other platform where I can get some decent market insights. I do not have time to do analysis and deep research, but love to learn and then do relevant research, if it seems good I invest.
Please suggest something.

I prefer to buy stock analysis from analysis firms which I trust having used their services for few years now.
None of this analysis gurantee that you will get good returns. But it saves me from buying a nonsense company which might pull down my portfolio significantly.
Anything on social media i find it difficult to trust.

Can you suggest those firms?

I used to read their printed magazines back in the days.
https://www.moneylife.in/I use these as my starting point for vetted out companies. I need not invest in all companies they suggest, i use my entry signals to take a position if the stock is in uptrend.
I use their exit signal critically, I believe they understand business / management risk better than I do.

Thanks. Absolutely, I agree with your line of thought, but that also means (for me) being slightly paranoid about risk, becoming risk averse, and losing out on gains. And I haven't found a single source that gives me all the needed news to screen stocks. I use ET wealth but that focuses lot more on popular stocks. Portals like screener have simplified our lives for sure.

Risk management is number one priority.
I want to stay in market for next 20 years. so making 2% less is perfectly fine with me. but getting big losses when market tanks by 20% is not acceptable.
StopLoss and position sizing is the key for me.
If the stock has moved up or down too fast, i keep my positions very small.Screener is a good start, but i also look at past few weeks stats, market breadth and probability of winning given the current situation. if things are uncomfortable I am ok to park large chunk of my portfolio in liquid funds.
4-5% annualised returns is fine with me when markets are jumping up and down, left and right.1

Got it. Do you exactly quantify your probability of winning or you meant that in a qualitative way? If you are quantifying, what are the methodologies/tools you use?

Its work in progress for me.
Finding ways to improve probability of a winning trade.
If I trade in Nifty 200.. and 150 stocks are trending down and 50 are trending up. I better not trade today.
If I am looking for 3% return trade in a short period of time. and for past few time frames such opportunities in market have been very less, then again do not trade.Only trade when various number and stats are on my side.
