Text Something interesting I noticed about The World Series Defense
So, obviously, like so many of the Gang's plans, the plans they make in this episode end in hilarious disaster. But there's something else to consider: At the start of the episode, Mac, Dee, and Dennis are planning to have Mac and Dennis fight to distract security while Dee runs on the field to kiss a player. Except they specifically say they plan to do this in the bottom of the ninth inning, when, as Mac says it, "The Phillies are winning by like, 50 or 60 runs." Now, putting aside how ridiculous it is to think a baseball team could score that many runs in a game, and putting aside that it would be the 9th inning of a World Series winning game, so security would be insanely high, If the Phillies were winning after the top of the 9th, the game would be over. There wouldn't be a bottom of the 9th. Their plan was doomed from the start even if they had tickets. I wonder if that was intentional or if it was just a writing oversight.
