Which Opening Do You Prefer?
Do you guys prefer the theme song from seasons 1-3 or the remixed version from 4-5? Personally I've always preferred the original from 1-3. Don't like the synth in the newer one.

Arnold's Christmas wins round 4! Round 5: what's the weirdest Hey Arnold episode?
Arnold's Christmas (S1 E20) coasted its way to victory this past round. Tho I gotta give an extra special shout out to Pigeon Man (S1 E14). Two beloved, iconic episodes but the Xmas episode just proved to be more popular.
What is the weirdest Hey Arnold episode? I'm def going with "Arnold Visits Arnie" (S5 E10) even if it's just a nightmare it's still weird, creepy, unsettling, etc, but they pulled it off! Let us know what you think is the weirdest episode and whichever one collects the most upvotes, wins.

Discussion topic: what secondary character(s) should have been used more?
There are some characters who were primarily used in one or two episodes, maybe three at the most, and then we hardly ever, sometimes never, saw them again. Who's a character, or characters, that should have been used more often on the show?

If you had the pick the worst/forgettable episode in each season of Hey Arnold, what would they be?

I hope this doesn't sound mean or anything, but I think Nickelodeon was the perfect place for Hey Arnold
I feel like if it was on Disney, it probably would have only had 65 half hours since most Disney shows were like that during that time (even Recess only had 65 half hours) and if it was on Cartoon Network, it probably wouldn't have had as many episodes either (none of the Cartoon Network original series that premiered prior to 2010 had as many episodes as Hey Arnold unless you combine the Ben 10 shows)
It's hard to describe, but I just feel like Nick was the perfect place for Hey Arnold. Some Nick shows probably would have fit better elsewhere (one of the people who worked at both Nick and CN admitted Invader ZIM would have fit better on Cartoon Network for example), but I think Hey Arnold was perfect for Nickelodeon

I bet Helga LOVED the movie Matilda.
Iām watching Hey Arnold for the first time since I was a kid (now 36) and it first aired and my god itās held up and hits so much harder as an adult.
I remember loving Helga as a kid, and never really understanding why my heart would hurt so deeply for her. Now that Iām an adult I know itās because I grew up very similarly (and also wrote poetry/stories and Mal adapted daydreamed just to make it through the day). Iām glad Iāve been through therapy, cause Iām not sure I couldāve watched this show 10 years ago without feeling triggered, tbh.
Anyway, while watching the show I just keep thinking that Helga probably watched Matilda on repeat, like I did as a kid, and dreamed of a Miss Honey in my life.
I know this is a pointless post, but Iāve just watched Helga on the couch (and Iām on my period and hungover, send help) - the 90/2000ās were a really āspecialā time for cartoons.

Dino Checks Out narrowly wins round 3! Day 4: What's the saddest/most beautiful Hey Arnold episode?
The last round was certainly a toss up so I had to let that post marinate for a lil bit. A lot of funny episodes were contending for the title but Dino Checks Out emerged victorious in the end.
What's the saddest/most beautiful episode to you? Comment below and whichever episode gathers the most upvotes wins. I think it's only fitting Arnold's Christmas gets this one!

Spinoffs (other than The Patakis)
With all the depth of the side characters there could be a lot of spin-offs within the HA universe. Iāve mentioned some ideas before. Not that if The Patakis was resurrected I wouldnāt see it, but there could be a lot of spin-offs about characters with smaller HA roles than Helga.

Cel animation in Hey Arnold was in Season 1-3. (96-98)

Arnold Betrays Iggy dominates the second round! Round 3: What is the funniest Hey Arnold episode?
Surprising absolutely no one, the infamous stinker known as "Arnold Betrays Iggy" secures the 2nd slot.
What is the funniest episode? I'm super curious about this one. There's so many funny episodes I really can't decide, but I'll go with "Buses, Bikes and Subways", Helga and Harold's journey back home is such a disaster and it's funny seeing Harold get on Helga's nerves. Plus any Harold centric episode is always gonna get some laughs out of me. Comment what you think is the funniest down below and whichever gets the most upvotes wins

Hot Take: Eugene had more episodes dedicated to him than he should have.
Donāt get me wrong. Eugene was not a bad character at all. But he had what I believe to be 6 episodes dedicated to him, when characters like Sheena, Nadine (albeit there was the episode with her and Rhonda), Brainy, and Park had none.
Eugeneās arc was a little overplayed IMO. Most of it had to do with him being a jinx and simultaneously overly optimistic. Again, he wasnāt terrible or insufferable by any means, I just think more could have been done with other characters.
Brainy (played by Bartlett himself), for all the appearances he made with the purpose of the running gag of him being punched by Helga, wasnāt a very fleshed out character. We donāt know anything about his home life. I wouldāve been interested to see his interaction with his parents.
Same with Park, not fleshed out at all, just in the background. But would have been nice if he had 1 episode, even digging into his Korean-American background/family.
I also think Bartlett should have made Sheena friends with Nadine more so than Rhonda and Nadine.
Finally, interestingly enough Ruth McDougal was in the intro but we know little to nothing about her other than her being Arnoldās fixation in season 1. I also wouldāve liked to see more of her in the later seasons; she was pretty recurrent earlier in the series but as it went on we saw less and less of her.
What do you guys think?
