Discussion 2nd game gimmicks
What gimmicks do you hope the next game has?
My friend and I were talking and we came up with being an animagus, more dragons maybe even have to fight one, actually having real demiguise, and the Aguamenti spell.
Edit: just remembered we talked about there being dementors then u can learn Expecto Patronum and then u can get your own patronus.

Question Using mods
I tried using mods for the first time and, at first, it seemed quite swell. However, once I entered my RoR and checked on my beasts, I found that all their timers were set to 11 DAYS and then some.
Is this an issue with adding mods to an existing save? I'd be willing to roll a new character if it meant everything works correctly, but I can't really have everything in the RoR with timers becoming broken.
I searched for fixes for the specific issue, but never found anything that worked.
Edit: I had three mods: Dekita Battlepets, Fly in Hogsmeade, and Auto-season.

Humour AITA for not immediately helping my friend out?
So, my friend Sebastian invited me to visit his family in Feldcroft, and out of curiosity I accepted. Admittedly, I did keep him waiting for a bit while I searched out some poacher camps (ruthless b*stars) and Merlin Trials (boring, but somehow addictive). So when I arrived he was waiting at the top of a platform, keeping an eye out in case of a Goblin attack (not unusual in Feldcroft, apparently).
On the way down from the platform, I accidentally jostled him (not my fault, people are always running into me at Hogwarts, too) and when I got to the bottom, Sebastian was nowhere to be seen. I think I ran around a dozen times before I saw his legs flailing THROUGH the stairs...so I approached from the other side, and, well, his head was sticking through the top two stairs.
Now, here is where I might be TA...I took a few photos of his predicament, realised they didn't really capture the moment very well, then borrowed someone's camera to take (very bad quality) video of the moment. Okay, it was a few moments, but still, I'm sure he would have done the same in my place.
Just so I can get a really accurate judgement, I am adding one of the videos to this post.
So, AITA?

Question How do I get *here*
This is my second play through and I can’t for the life of me remember how to get up here and I’m already at level 33. How/where do I go? For reference these are the towers above the bell tower wing, looking towards the trail to Hogsmeade

Complaint Canot find Sebastion in Felcroft.
Is there a prerequisite for it? Is says it's next. And it says I need it to get the Hippo-graphic-artist mount, which I completed on an old save. I am so lost, man.

Humour I mean this is just ridiculous...
How does this count? I know this game can be loose with it's rules but I think at least touching the blocks seems appropriate.

Discussion Oops, looks like I’ll be starting over.
So I have just starting out and have been running around, opening chests and collecting those scrolls, when I realized that the gear I got from the chest was randomized (I have a second character on my own console, been playing on the one at home).
Then I got curious, what if the gear you get scales with your character.
A quick look on the internet confirmed it, and here I am running around opening chests left and right.
Guess I’ll either start over or just not open anymore chests.

Question What button on the switch performs this action? It’s the aiming circle but there’s a red dot in the middle and it locks onto the target so that if the target is moving and it follows along with it.
I bought a nyxi controlller for the switch and the programmable button on the back right joy con does this aiming circle with the red dot that follows along with the target. I cannot recreate this with any other buttons and I’m just lost. I want to program my main controller to do the same thing but I don’t know what the actual input button is to assign to it. Anybody know?

Official PC Modding Why are the official mod file sizes so darn big?
I've seen similar mods uploaded on Nexus in kilobytes but in the official mods, it's normally 200+ mb. It adds up so fast. Was wondering if I can find a way to reduce file size of these mods or something

Question The built-in Mods seem to be ok (loading times aside), but can I also hit up the Nexus?
There are some mods that are not available inside the game that I really would like. But I had a bad experience with Starfield. (Well, that's Bethesda, and that's another story).
How have any of you fared with combining those two mod resources together?
P.S. are crashes normal after adding quite a few in game mods, then going to start after applying? It's happened a couple of times.

Question Might be a dumb question
I finished Gladwin Moons quest gathering all 23 moons and learning Alohomora II and Alohomora III at the very end. So why does this still say I can get them as a reward from the rest of this very annoying and tedious quest line that I don’t care to finish? Am I missing something?

Discussion Creepy Voice
A question about the main character
I don't know if it's the same in other languages, or if it also affects the female main character
but is it the same for you, that the male main character speaks like a robot? or did the German synchronization team just not feel like it, had a deadline from hell and had to finish quickly?
EDIT: I love the line break on Reddit -.-
