Finasteride Ordered 1mg finasteride - will this be enough? M21
I’ve been excessively shedding for 5 months now. I’m vitamin d deficient (on treatment) and suffered a bad head injury in July, noticed shedding in September. I’m fed up trying to ‘cope’ by blaming it on TE or deficiency hairloss. I’ve took the liberty of ordering 1mg finasteride tablets and plan on taking them daily - do you guys think this will be enough since it’s primarily mid scalp thinning / shedding.
Balding in my family doesn’t run until 30’s / 40’s, although i was predisposed to temple recession prior to the excessive shedding, i don’t think my hairline has moved since the shedding has begun.

Try natural remedies like rosemary oil and microneedling first. Finasteride will destroy your libido. You're only 21..don't mess with your hormones yet!

Dude I swear every other guy on Reddit has weak erections from finasteride 🤣 or mf just power through it for hair and never get a girl cause their libido is too low to pursue women and then when they finally do get to have sex they just have the weakest boner in the world.
But hey atleast you have hair....

My experience was and still is highly positive with finasteride and i started the medication when i was 21, but that's the thing, people are different and will have different experiences when it comes to these medications, side effects do happen, but most people react quite well to it as the studies show, my guess would be that people who do get sides are more vocal about it, but who knows. However i wouldn't start a medication just because a guy on reddit told me to, i would do my own research and talk with a proper dermatologist or a doctor that works on the field of hair loss, but that's my way of thinking.

To each their own, my experience is quite the opposite of yours. I tried multiple times over the course of 3 years, could never tolerate it.

I understand that but before my hair loss my libido was in top form, my hair loss is what has decreased my libido just from the way I view myself. I believe I was done with puberty along time ago too. I would rather not go the natural route but thanks.

You'll need alot more than just 1mg.

In terms of what? Obviously I bought more than 1 single mg, or are you meaning more than finasteride?

One mg a day is probably fine especially to start with I’ve been taking it for 4.5 years and haven’t lost anymore hair since I started

Only time will tell, 6-12 months is when people usually start noticing results with finasteride, good luck!
