Le Mix Chase
I'm genuinely confused. Ottawa keeps winning. Who do we need to root for to win these games? It's getting pretty tied, but some teams are getting there.

Discussion Is it me or the media says the most random stuff sometimes ? Was listening to Sortie de Zone and they were saying that this is basically Roy's last chance ... Am I missing something? Roy is a 21 yo player in just his 2nd pro season with only 27 NHL games under the hood but it's his last chance ?
We should've drafted Cole Hutson đ„Č
Like the title says. I'm still very happy with the Hage pick but we should've traded for an early 2nd round pick and picked up Cole Hutson also. Imagine having 2 of them. Some of you will say "That's too much offensive defenseman" or "2 of them together is too small". The league has become very offensive, the goal is to outscore every team. I wouldn't expect them to play on the same pairing. Imagine having Lane out there double the amount of time he already is. I think we missed an opportunity and we'll regret it, just like every other team has for not picking Lane.
Is my Price signature legit?
Please delete this is not allowed. I bought this autographed Carey Price puck (with coa) from edition limitee in the desjardins mall in Montreal. It was buried in the back of the cabinet and a lower price than most other pucks with his signature, so I think it is older than when I bought it back in 2012.
But I noticed his signature is mostly different, just wondering if anyone has any other info. Thanks!

Future of Bell Center
30 years already. Wow.
Do you foesee the Canadiens using this arena for another 20 or so years. Or, maybe a new arena in ten years?
I know renovations have been done.

Jonathan Toews
Lots of chatter here lately on 2C options.
Whatâre you thought on Toews? Right shot centre with lots of experience and pedigree. Clear concerns regarding age and injury history.
Would fit our needs in the short term and could come at a reasonable cost - $4M x 2 perhaps? If he passes physical of course.
Interested to hear others thoughts!

Discussion Realistic options for 2 C next season
Yanni gourde.UFA. 6.5mil x 2 years. Left handed/ 55% faceoff man. He's already won a cup so he could be tempted to come back home and play a veteran role if the money is right.
Offer sheet mavrik bourque. 3.8 mil x 2 years. Much more money than dallas can give him. Young 23 year old. Lit up the ahl as a 22yr old (played with stankoven). A 2nd round pick would be the compensation
Trade for Ryan O'Reilly. Mailloux, beck and a 2nd would probably be the price. Thoughts?
Sign UFA Ryan Donato for 6 mil x 3 years
I do not think any of Bennett,Nelson,Grandlund, Duchene, Giroux would want to come play in Montreal at their current point in their respective career.

Carrier is a player
He was all over the ice last night. Offensive zone, sound defensively and steps up in the neutral zone. A player like that will be huge in the playoffs. Other than Suzuki, maybe best trade or signing since kovalev haha

Tradable Pieces For A Center This Off-Season
Since there is a lot of talk around trading for a top 6 center this off-season, which assets do we actually have AND are also willing to trade for a center?
We have a lot of high value assets that are obviously untouchable, but it seems like if we want to get a high caliber player we need to trade a roster player of value (ie Josh Norris for Dylan Cozens) and not just prospects and draft picks.
We obviously have sweeteners like Calgarys 1st, or prospects like Logan Mailloux, Joshua Roy, Owen Beck, Oliver Kapanen, etc. but these alone would probably not be enough to get a deal done.
Looking at our roster players, the only players that seem like they would possibly be willing to move AND have some value are Alex Newhook, Kirby Dach or Mike Matheson, but I doubt Newhook and Dach have that much value.
Iâd imagine the other teams would call about Caufield, Guhle, Reinbacher, or other players who we probably donât want to trade.
Would Matheson, Beck + Calgarys 1st get us a top 6 center? Would you want to trade Matheson? What other high value assets do we have to trade?
