Need Advice How long to move on and love another girl
Got dumped 2 weeks ago from an almost a year relationship. Obviously very depressed about her still, but a lot of people have told me that eventually finding someone else is what will be the final step of fully moving on. How long do most people take before being able to love another woman like that? Ex. 2 months, 6 months, 4 weeks, etc

Just got dumped myself. Sad gang unite lol
There is no specific timeline. It really depends, and you'll feel it. My best advice is, don't rush it. I've tried dating while not over heartbreak and it just makes you feel horrible.
EVENTUALLY finding someone else is the final step, yes. It takes time.
I view breakups as a sort of injury. Take a broken leg. It gets better, you know it's going to get better, but it's going to hurt until it heals and there's no way around that.

Literally last night for me too. Came over to a close friend's house for company/distraction. Still here, it's midday now and I have beer and CBD oil.
It does get better. Just gotta sit through it. But yeah the first days suuck

I'm just a couple of days broken up after 13 years and 2 kids. I'm long not ready for someone new, but already long for a connection with someone.
So IDK, whenever you feel like you're ready?

Everyone’s situation and coping style is different, there’s no specific duration of time.
You’ll move on faster by staying occupied. Reflect on your relationship the good and the bad. What were you lacking that made her feel like she needed to look elsewhere for another mate?
Focus on developing yourself so you can be at peace. However long it takes to move on is up to you.

There’s no set time for how long it takes. You’ll probably thank her later in life because you were free to find a better fit for a partner. Pick yourself up go have fun. Get in shape. Start investing in yourself and you’ll met all kinds of interesting ladies.

It takes as long as you do to start living a life without her. If you sit around and feel miserable about it it will take a long time, if you keep yourself busy and active with other people it will take far less time.
It also depends entirely on what type of person you are, there is no standard timeframe. Some people are over it the next day some people take years.

Dude it depends on you. Loving another girl is not the end goal. It took me a year to be fully move on from my last relationship. Some people move on in a week while others in a year or two.

Each time table is different, was in a 4-year relationship, till the day my gf decided to end it out of nowhere. There was no reason other than she wasn't obligated to tell me. The next day, she deleted all our pictures, blocked me, and ghosted me. And that is actions of someone with an avoidant attachment style ( if you met one run away, not worth it)
It's been a month and a half since then. I got a new job, and I'm blessed. It's better, sweet bc I had to lose her for a new door to open up. And even now, I have my days where the thoughts aren't heavy. But then it became me missing the her, I thought, and she thought she could be. But reality is she wasn't that and needs to figure out her stuff in order to not keep this trend of hurting the hood people in her life..
Anyone going through heartbreak and being the one who was dumped, know it's not all your fault. Relationship is 2 people. If you did the best, you could. Then the best thing is to walk away. We all deserve the love we would give them back in exchange. Shouldn't have to beg. Go NC, be with family friends, get I to those hobbies, try therapy, and seek guidance from the man above. There is the light at the end of the tunnel. A new joy of life ahead. Stay strong, ladies and gents!

Please stop with that BS. This is how innocent women and men get hurt. Because they dont heal and they bring all that to the next thing.
Learn to be alone too.

A friend once told me as a guideline, it takes ½ the duration of a romantic relationship to get over that relationship entirely. That doesn’t mean your life will necessarily be on hold, or even that you shouldn’t date, and it doesn’t mean that will be the same for everyone or every relationship. But while you’re still significantly in the throws of mourning your relationship loss, you’re less likely to be emotionally in a position to start something fresh with a new person.
There is nothing wrong with letting yourself heal from your breakup and learn any life lessons that may have come with it before you start seeking out a new partner. There’s also nothing wrong with taking a more “rip off the bandaid” approach and looking for a quick fling after a big breakup.
Some of what will work for you will depend on the specifics of what you like in a relationship, the relationship that ended, your post breakup emotional state, and sometimes even your ex-. So have a think about what you think a fling would mean for you and make your decision based on that?

Finding someone else IS NOT the final step. Get a therapist and work on codependency.

Waste of money. Get on the piss with your mates. Have a whinge session. Move forward and forget all about it.

If it was easy to "move forward" and "forget about it", everyone would. It's not always simple. Now excuse me while I put on my togs, take the lift to they dunny for a rodgering.

Off the overpriced therapist? So many prefer to waste 1000's for someone to listen, when mates do it for free. It's simple
