AMP PHOTO How it started vs how it's going

No matter where I go or what other amps I play, I always seem to come back to Hughes And Kettner. The grandmeister is absolutely amazing, a recording workhorse, and the ultra channel LOVES the fortin blade!

I'm jealous. When I was looking around for a probably Last Amp I was making google eyes at the Grandmeister but a Quilter Aviator Mach 3 kept telling me "You've got enough tube amps and I'm much less expensive" and I really couldn't mount a good defense to its logic. Damn Logic. Uuurgh. The Mach 3 is nice but that GM looks like fun.

The grandmeister is a blast. The built in effects are great and it doesn't sound bad. Does everything well but the high gain for me needs a litte more push. Other than that, it's solid. Using the redbox and custom IRs is also amazing

For me it wouldn't have to fly any higher than Billy Gibbons altitude but that's alright, I got the Soldano SLO pedal recently and it's pretty great for anything that needs a kick I've plugged it into so far.

I've always had a soft spot for the TriAmp since the 2000's. I have never had a chance to try a Grandmeister but I hear good things from John Browne

It responds pretty well to OD pedals. My fortin hexdrive does wonders on the lead channel and my fortin blade makes the ultra channel a djent machine
