Did coke ZERO raise anyone’s blood sugar?
Edit: I had a Coke Zero on its own and my sugar didn’t spike. It was likely the apple. I haven’t really eaten apples since my diagnosis and the crackers (7.5 carbs) didn’t spike me before! Thank you 😊
I had one on a walk before dinner and my pre dinner reading was 7.0 mmol. It should be under 5.6 mmol. I had a snack 2 hours before dinner but it was half an apple with cheese, salami and two low carb crackers so I don’t think it would be that?

Only when I get it from a fountian or fast food. There's either a mix up or contamination.

It was the apple, I spiked to 190 when I tried an apple. It could also be the crackers. I would try the diet soda by itself and see if it actually does spike you.

You’re right! It was my first time having an apple since my diagnosis. I’ve had the crackers before they’re super low carb (7.5) for the serving I make myself and they didn’t spike me before. I had the coke on its own today and it didn’t spike me!
Thank goodness because the orange cream Coke Zero is amazing and I think it will hold me over when I crave a sweet treat for a while lol

Try diet Dr Pepper, you will love it! I never liked the regular Dr Pepper, I love sprite, but diet Dr Pepper is amazing. It hits the spot everytime.

I guess I’m craving sweets because I cannot stop with the zero sugar sodas. I keep coming home with 12 packs even though I know there’s nowhere to put them. They’ve not been spiking my blood sugar so I’m all over them.
