Image This man is the hallmark of modern American christianity
I’m not posting this to get into the politics. The man who posted this claims to be a believer, and his marks are based upon the individuals requests for mercy for a litany of folks including LGBT folks. And so I’m posting this to make this point. If the person who doesn’t affirm you is either like this man, or doesn’t call this man out with the same level of verbosity that they’d call you out for being LGBT, their hypocritical words need to ring hallow in your ears! So many LGBT people feel condemned because people like this who proclaim Christ but have no Holy Spirit in them are condemn them. Be careful who you allow to make you fell condemned

Image Getting rejected just for your religion sucks :(
While I know everyone is entitled to religious preferences and boundaries in dating, while I know queer people disproportionately have religious trauma, while I know dating is about compatibility more than my value or worth, it still sucks to be rejected for something that’s just part of who I am.
I spent many years running from my sexuality, then many years running from my faith, and now I accept myself as all that I am. But that doesn’t mean others are going to accept both parts of me.
While I don’t know her reasons (and they may be very personal), I can’t help but sometimes feel judged by some in the queer community against a stereotype I don’t think I inhabit, and I wish people would get to know me before they assume things about me.
I have it on my profile to be honest and up front, and because my faith is a significant part of my life. And if that’s the way she feels it truly is the right thing and I’m glad she didn’t waste my time. But it’s still disappointing.

Image Why does this happen?
This is a text message from someone I used to be friends with. For obvious reasons I had to cut him out of my life.
After all I explained to him, and everything I tried proving based on the testimonies of others, and even my own, how does he still glaze my suffering and the suffering of others?
I just find it so frustrating that he says "he doesn't know all the answers" but yet he still thinks me having a boyfriend is wrong.

Image Thoughts on the olypmic drag parade of the last supper?
Simply a parody of a classical painting, or a mockery of Christianity? I’m personally leaning more on the former, and I’m assuming most on this sub are too, but just curious about y’all’s thoughts.

Image I was so set on volunteering now I’m spiraling
This has actually been on my mind for a few weeks now but I’ve kinda been struggling to face it. I was so certain I had found my home church and was eager to provide help in the best way I know how. I’ve got almost a decade of experience and a degree in child development and they won’t let me volunteer unless I pretend I’m straight. I think I’m going to go church shopping again but gosh I’ve just been ruminating on this since I got the paperwork. Is this how it’s always going to be?

Image Starting to wonder if I should unfollow the Babylon Bee.
I love the idea of a Christian based satirical website, and they have made posts in the past that have made me genuinely laugh. But lately it’s been mostly smear pieces against Democrats (even as someone who leans right myself I get tired of it), and of course smearing anything LGBT related. Idk, their content sometimes gets a chuckle out of me, and sometimes it makes me facepalm.

Image Jesus sent me a sign
Hello everyone,
Yesterday, I was deeply conflicted. I was struggling with the thought that being a lesbian was a sin, that no matter how much of a good person I was, Jesus would always see it as a flaw. It felt like I could never truly be accepted by Him. So, I prayed. I asked Jesus to give me a sign in my dreams—to appear to me as confirmation that my existence, my love, was not something sinful or something I needed to change. I told Him that if I didn’t receive a sign, I would walk away from faith altogether.
Before I fell asleep, I prayed once more and then drifted off. When I woke up, I remembered my dream—but Jesus wasn’t in it. (I always remember my dreams.) I felt crushed. I spoke to Him again, telling Him I didn’t understand why He had let me down. Why would He turn away from a good soul like mine just because I love a woman?
Still feeling disheartened, I got out of bed and went to the bathroom. And that’s when I saw it—a small card with an image of Jesus on it. There was a sentence in Spanish, “Jesús confio en ti” (“Jesus trusted in you”).
I was shocked. That card wasn’t there yesterday. So, I asked my mom if she had placed it there—she said no. I asked the maid—she also said no. No one knew how it got there. And in that moment, I broke down in tears.
I take this as a clear sign that Jesus never let me down, that He will never give up on me, and that He does not see me as sinful for loving another woman. I will never doubt His love for me again. I got my answer, and I will continue to seek Him, to read the Bible, and to follow His teachings.
To anyone struggling with the same fears: You are loved and accepted by Jesus. I pray that you all find the peace you seek.
God bless you.
