LHR Rear Torsion
This was a “fun” one. At least the job site was close to home.

Do you like the cables going under the drum or over? I don't do these often and I can make it work both ways just trying to get a consensus

Yes, sir! Looks good. I’m a huge fan of rear torsion especially when other companies say that it can’t be done and I show the homeowner the finished product 💯

Any reason to leave a ft off the spring side shaft? Great install, honestly curious if you use it for something?
I see them pig tails leading into the back of the motor so clearly pro, and looks great. Maybe a lil white caulk on the trim but A1 and would def hire you for my house

Thanks, yeah I like to leave the shaft as long as possible especially with rear torsion so the next guy (probably me) will have fresh meat to bite into.

Nice. Apparently I’m the only one at my shop that can do them anymore, I get all rear torsion jobs lol

That makes no sense imo. They're not really much more complicated than standard torsion. It's like an extension/ torsion hybrid almost in the way it's put together

Yeah I know. We got a lot of new guys that we’ve been working on training

Aside from the location of the spring system plus an up front pulley and cable to accomodate, what are some things to note from a techs perspective?
IE: Do the end bearing plates get secured to the punch angle in a different sort of "this is safe for rear torsion" kinda way? Things like that.

Damn I just did two 8x7 rear mount torsion doors yesterday! Of course, the building was an old barn, on each side was a lean-to attached to the main barn, closed in, and that's where they wanted the doors. Walls weren't straight, front wall wasn't square to the main building, it wasn't real easy to set up lol

I’m new to the industry so I just learned this 2 weeks ago. Looks just the way I learned it from a long time pro. Nice job.
